It was amazing. The job of a lifetime, without a doubt. The best experience I've had on the film set. Incredible. It was exciting. It was different. And I think the movie is going to be unlike anything we've ever seen.

Working with Chris, getting to know him and Emma [Thomas] was absolutely fantastic. I've never seen someone that can work the way that they do, and there is a reason why they're the best in the business for sure. To get a front row seat to that and to be a part of the process and to collaborate with a true master of his craft and learn from him was the best experience I've ever had.

Matt Damon has always been a hero of mine, Anne Hathaway has always been a hero of mine. So to share scenes with them, to learn from them, to become friends with them, I couldn't have asked for a better job. And I’m so proud of the work I’ve done. I came to work every day with a real sense of purpose and a point to prove, and I’m so grateful for Chris to have given me that opportunity.

John Leguizamo reveals that the script for THE ODYSSEY is "amazing," and that he mainly filmed scenes with Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Robert Pattinson.

“It was like being with a visionary — like what I imagine it must have been like to work with Stanley Kubrick. Somebody creating worlds, and who thinks in a different way than the rest of us. We were in amazing locations. It's seven countries. They're in Morocco, Greece, Sicily, back to L.A., and Nolan is bringing work back to L.A.”

The South Korean online audiovisual classification service registered, on Monday afternoon, the first teaser trailer for “The Odyssey,” with a duration of 1min16s. Still without a release date, the expectation is that the teaser will be launched in July.

About a month ago or so, this video from the filming in Morrocco resurfaced, when they were doing the battle in Troy.

In Greek and Roman mythology, the Palladium or Palladion (Greek Παλλάδιον (Palladion), Latin Palladium) was a cult image of great antiquity on which the safety of Troy and later Rome was said to depend, the wooden statue (xoanon) of Pallas Athena that Odysseus and Diomedes stole from the citadel of Troy and which was later taken to the future site of Rome by Aeneas.

After the teaser poster was released, some speculate that it features the Paladium. Now, it makes me consider this video differently... don't expect a direct adaptation of THE ODYSSEY from Nolan, because everything points that he'll take from other stories and myths to do his version.

Maybe people can rest about the discourse on Zendaya's character, too. She's 99% playing Athena.

Charlize Theron confirms to Variety that she's playing the enchantress Circe

Charlize Theron spoke to Marc Malkin of Variety on June 28th:

"[I haven't been on the set yet]. I leave in a couple of weeks. I don't know [how I'm going to prepare to play Circe], I'm just gonna talk to Chris about it and we'll see where it goes. It's super intimidating and like, I'm the last one to show up [to filming], so I'll be like the new kid on the block and everybody will know what they're doing - and not me."

Dom Holland, the actor's father, has confirmed on his Patreon blog that Tom has wrapped filming for Christopher Nolan's THE ODYSSEY in Los Angeles. It is likely that Robert Pattinson, Samantha Morton and Anne Hathaway have wrapped too, since they are all from the same story arc.

But is this is true, it could indicate that they are truly filming the underworld sequences in Iceland. In the poem, Odysseus sacrifices a ram and a ewe to summon the prophet Tiresias, allowing him to communicate with the dead. The amount of extras can signify the souls in Hade's realm.

Filming Update for THE ODYSSEY

Christopher Nolan is currently filming THE ODYSSEY in Iceland. Among the places around the country where he is shooting, there is the 'Yoda Cave'. Keep in mind that the Northern Lights season only starts in September and lasts until April, so there is no use imagining that scenario on the film.

Matt Damon and Elliott Page have been rumored to be in Iceland alongside Zendaya for filming on the country. It's the first time during filming that EP has been mentioned on location, which leds me to believe he could be playing the blind prophet Tiresias, which Odysseus meets in the underworld, or the spirit of the warrior Acchiles.

I have absolutely no clue about who Zendaya is playing. I'll stay with my guess about Athena, though, because of *that* video.
