hey Gene! Hey Mun! this is actually more for Mun. Why ghosts? Like what made you chose the supernatural side of anime?

[ignore him. why I chose ghost huh. Well, that's a loaded question for me. So let me answer like this.
[My very first anime that I ever watched and knew that it was anime was ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’. Now you can look it up, but basically it’s about a kid who ends up as a spirit detective. I’m being vague on purpose, just in case you have never seen it.
[Granted the original run was before i was born, but they started it again and I was about four when I was watching it. I saw the very first episode and it sorta just stuck with me. That was the first time that I considered the spiritual.
[Now that being said, I was like four when I saw it, and my upbringing was very spiritual in nature ( I was brought up as a Hindu, so reincarnation, the soul and karma, dharma, and so on). That is what kept me hooked into the supernatural/spiritual.[My next anime what the Whole DB, DBZ franchise. And the more recently DBGT. And that had the whole spirit whole concept. And it was a big part of the story plot. And watching it was AweSome. You cannot tell me otherwise. [The concept of there being something else on the flip side was pretty intriguing. I mean, as i was brought up it was reincarnation, but then seeing these other idea of life after death, it was like whoa. now that was Anime.
[But there was a cartoon that I grew up watching that just cemented these ideas(?) for me and it was ‘Danny Phantom’. Now anime, and my upbringing are from other places but Danny Phantom was from where I was born, I could partially related to it. And it was from home, you know, it wasn’t from “outside”. I could draw my own conclusion from watching it instead of what others tell me.
[Wow this is longer than I anticipated. I chose ghosts because it’s something different, you don’t get one or two versions of death and the whatever may come after, there are so many versions of it from everywhere in the whole, each with it’s own twist, and for me it keeps things interesting and fresh.
