Hi there!
Starting on the 2nd April, we will be hosting a virtual Battle of the Bands! So, what is a virtual Battle of the Bands, you ask? Over a 12-week period, 54 bands will duke it out online for a chance to win our grand prize! All you need is to be in a band and have a video of you performing that we can put online for people to vote on.
Voting will see 6 bands go head-to-head each week for 9 weeks with quarter, semi and the final held in the last three weeks of the competition. Fans will vote for the band they like the most each week until we have one band left standing.
The winner of the competition will be invited to support the headline act (yet to be confirmed) at our summer HULLABALOO Festival of Music and Mayhem. This means you will need to be available to perform live on the 14th July in Biddulph, Staffordshire. We expect around 5,000 people to attend the two-day event, which will include live music, market stalls, food and drink, and a fairground!
The benefits to you as a winner is you will get tons of exposure on the day including radio and social media coverage. You will also be crowned the HULLABALOO Battle of the Bands winner 2018!
To enter there are a few stipulations:
- You must be an unsigned band (no record label attachment)
- You must have one quality video ready to submit for the competition
- You must submit original music, no covers allowed
- You must be a band. This means no solo/duo artists or backing tracks
- You must be able to perform at 7.30pm on the 14th July for 45 minutes
