What Should Our Water Starter Line Be? (ART CONTEST)

You heard it right, folks! We’re starting this one a little early, because you guys asked us to! So, we’ll be taking submissions for what our starter line should be!

Same rules as always. Submitting art of the full line is preferred, but not required. If you submit only one stage, we’ll hold separate contests for later lines. Now, the prompt is: *ahem*

“A water/rock salamander in clay armor and evolves into a terracotta warrior.“

Now, once again, go and have fun with the design! We’ll be accepting submissions until MAY 3RD. That’s a bit longer than usual, since we’re running two design contests at once right now. So yes, have fun and do your best!

Meet the Oltura Region’s new Grass-type Starter!

Congratulations to @apostlecrow for their award-winning design! As per the contest guidelines, they get to decide on the shiny palette for one of Oltura’s starter lines, including their own!

Was there a bug/ early rodent contest? By that I meant the Oltura Region Ratatta or Caterpue like pokemon. And are paper sketches cool? And am I asking too much questions? 😂

We haven't had our early bug/regional bird contests yet, but we'll definitely be having it soon!

Meet the Oltura Region’s new Fire-type starters!

And thanks to the lovely @madamecat for their wonderful submission! These feudal fluffers are going to accompanying trainers far and wide now! And as part of the contest, they get to create a shiny palette for a starter Pokemon of their choice! They can do it for their own line, of course, but if they wish to wait for the others, that is also allowed!

Now, onto the question! As we can see, madamecat has given us names for all three stages! Should we keep them, or should we rename them as a community?

What should our Evil Team be? (POLL)

And, we’re back to it! We only received two suggestions for what our evil team should be, but that’s more than enough to get the ball rolling! So, which of these lovely options do you think should be fighting for control in Oltura?

Two teams with opposing motives: A group of agents trying to cover up the existence and subsequent abundance of Ultra Beasts, and prevent the rest of the world finding out. The second is a team of circus performers, who are scamming tourists and exploiting the Ultra Beasts weirdness and otherworldly powers for money.

Three different evil teams. The first is a group of Ultra Beasts disguised as humans. The second would be a team trying to use the powers of Ulta Beasts for their own gain, and the third would just be a group of conspirators.

So, which do you pick?

Behold! My entry for the water starters!

The basic form is minimal and has a simple clay chest protector. The second form takes a more rotund form looking like a wrecking ball. The final for is designed like a Mongolian warriot\r with clay mace gauntlets, armor, and helmet with water flowing from the top.

For the grass starter contest- the um, submit box wasn’t working [I sent an ask about that a minute ago], so I figured I should just @ it instead, I hope that’s alright;;;;

I based it off the Oleander flower instead of Nightshade, since I thought that’d be cuter

Sorry about all that! I honestly don’t know what happened, because the box was definitely open beforehand. And then suddenly...not. But we’ve resolved the issue, and we’ve received all the submissions you’ve gotten to us other ways!

The Oltura Region’s Grass-type Starter Line (ART CONTEST)

Woohoo! It’s time we seek the design for our Grass-type Starter! This time, the prompt is as follows:

“A Grass/Dark Cheschire Cat-style Tasmanian Tiger. It can be themed around Nightshade and may disappear into its stripes.”

Otherwise, it’s just like the other contests! Submissions are accepted at any time, but the deadline will be April 19th!

What should our Evil Team be? (SUGGESTIONS)

I feel like we’re jumping all over the place with these questions, but who cares! That’s part of the fun!

So, we’ve received a few questions about our evil team, so we decided to ask about it? What should our game’s evil team be? Should there be multiple? Are they a disorganized mob or an elite corporation?

...And for that matter, are they even human?

Yes, you heard me right. We’ve received a few suggestions from @hazard100 that our region’s evil team should be made of (or at least partially consist of) Ultra Beasts disguising themselves as humans. So, we’ll use that to get your creative juices running, but you don’t have to suggest something along those lines (although it’d be totally cool if you did)

Early Game Ultra Beast (POLL)

So, we’ve received a few suggestions on what the first Ultra Beast our player encounters should be. And now, like always, you guys vote on which one you like the most!

(Some of these have been altered to allow a bit more creative freedom when the design contest happens)

A free-for-all design competition

A small, metallic Ultra Beast that compulsively explodes, creating Ultra Wormholes. They may be the reason the region is teeming with UBs.

And we did receive a third suggestion, but I actually really like the idea, so that one is going in a separate poll :3
