Shift your energy. What do you want to start building? 🔨💛 . . .
Technology has the power to connect or disconnect us. In the digital era, we have become robotic in our routines. It's rare to have meaningful connections and real conversations as we hide behind screens. How many times has someone asked "Hey, how's it going?" as they walk by but don't actually stop to listen to your answer? Perhaps, you're guilty of doing this too. @lovebottherobot was designed by @matthewdeldegan to remind us we all have the capacity to share love and kindness with one another each day - and, of course, love and kindness towards ourselves. We encourage you to take little moments each day to bring some heart back into your interactions. Share below what one thing you do for others and one thing you do for yourself. . . .
In @globecontent's 2017 article, "Sharing addiction struggles helps remove barriers for those needing help", it says: "One in five Canadians will experience a mental health or addiction problem in any given year, and the two often go hand in hand. People with a mental illness are twice as likely to have a substance-use problem compared with the general population, while about 20% of those with mental illnesses have a concurrent substance-use problem. Despite its prevalence, addiction is often accompanied by shame and stigma – stubborn barriers to seeking help. " . In their article, three individuals who are recognized as Difference Makers by Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), share their stories to help end stigma around this and to help others see there is hope for recovery. What's your experience? . . .
𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐚 𝐋𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐚 I use to think back to myself as a little girl and get teary eyed knowing that girl had no idea what the hell was to come...now I am finding moments where I am grateful because it has forced me to explore another world and another side of myself that I never would of found other wise. I know a lot of times we get very stuck in the “look at my life” phase and that’s completely ok because we need to look at it and we deserve to fix it, help it and grow it. Once you break through to the point where you are helping yourself and changing everyday that goes by you are going to stop and look at that same girl or boy and say damn! They absolutely had no idea what was to come, You persevered through what tried to end you and came out with a permanent glow that will follow you around not a darkness a glow. I want you to look at the accomplishments you achieve big or small and you celebrate that shit! It may not come as easy as others and it may not be as you pictured for yourself but hell its probably better. You deserve that celebration so I want everyone to celebrate the shit outta themselves this weekend! 𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐚 𝐋𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐚 — Trena Wall @trena_pearl (🔑 Featured story shared with permission) . . .

👏 Remember this! 👏 . . .
We attach ourselves to things. Give it meaning. Perhaps too much meaning. There once was a ring. It meant something. And it still does. But the meaning has changed. And therefore, the attachment has as well. — Kaye Lee (🔑 Featured story shared with permission) . . .
