A Note on This Blog
So, in the fall of 2012, I was new to the Supernatural fandom on tumblr, and while tag-diving, I came across a blog called “askcrowleyandcas.” I hadn’t known about ask blogs or RPing before that. I was an occasional anon, watching in fascination as people interacted with each other. It was fun.
Following a massive depressive spiral that accompanied starting college, I decided to start a blog of my own. I took a chance, in January 2013, applying a rule 63 swap to the characters of Supernatural. I settled into my blog joined Natural Born Liars, which has turned out to be the loveliest possible cult.
I grew into RPing, expanding my cast of characters, spending hours sketching out potential plots, and talking, always talking, with these wonderful, amazing people scattered across the globe. I found them at the exact right time.
Over the years, RP partners have come and gone, and I’ve loved and missed every single one I lost. I fought through tumblr update after tumblr update, desperately trying to keep up the standard and pace with which I’d grown accustomed with my RP work. Some of the people I met and interacted with through this RP blog became more than just writing partners - they remain some of my very best friends. I don’t know what I’d do without them.
And, as all of our lives changed and evolved over the past three years, tumblr RP grew less and less frequent. This was, in part, due to tumblr entirely screwing over its RP users with pointless “updates,” and in part, due to our lives requiring something sleeker and faster with which to communicate and craft our stories. As such, entire universes were moved onto Skype. New universes were born and so were new muses. I have come a long, long way since “Shopping at Crossroads,” and I am thrilled to have had these opportunities.
After May, I will be an engineer. In three years, I will be a lawyer. But I will always and forever be a writer.
I’m going to be attending DC Con in the first week of April. I get to meet Jensen and Jared and Misha and Mark. No matter how long Supernatural lasts, I will stick with it until the very end. I owe so much of myself to this show right now, including this massive archive of novels and novels worth of stories.
Now, all of this is not to say that I’m dropping this blog; on the contrary, I plan on updating it every now and then. I might even be willing and able to do threads, selectively, someday. This blog is far too important for me to ever let die entirely.
In the meantime, if any of you would like to hear from me more regularly, there’s a link to my personal blog on my page.
Until next time, everyone, I wish you nothing but the best.
