When talking about representation in media I feel like I'm talking to a wall. Especially when I try to talk to people outside of my generation about this phenomenon with Black girls. Like the other day I explained to my mom why Martin was problematic and misogynoiristic. Yet because she only had good memories of that show she thinks it's an overanalyzed critique.
