This is a blog soley dedicated to me loving Mor from ACOTAR. You can stay if you BEHAVE and treat EVERYONE WITH RESPECT. I am simply your humble Mor simp. pfp by @wwispart on Instagram
I'm doing this because I don't particularly want to change my bio.
Welcome to my SJM blog! As you can tell, I adore Morrigan and am mostly dedicating this blog to defending her. But I dabble in other areas of this hell fandom.
You can call me M, for simplicity. I used they/she pronouns. I'm much more comfortable with they/them but I accept the fact that I present feminine and am seen as a woman by most of society. So, it is what it is.
I've read all of the SJM books up to this point, and frankly enjoyed Crescent City the most.
My favorite series of all time is The Poppy War trilogy, and R. F. Kuang is my favorite author.
I'm also an aspiring author, despite spending more time reading than writing. On top of that, I've started as the DM for my D&D group to help build my worldbuilding skill set.
🚨MINORS DNI🚨
I talk about sex on this blog go away, I don't want child eyes reading my opinions on sex.
More rules under the cut:
Rules on this blog:
No moralization of your consumption. You can not gain moral purity by consuming only the most pure media.
Respectful debate is encouraged. I, personally, love every character for who they are. But if you're anti-whomever, that's cool too. Just don't be a dick about it.
Romance & Smut ≠ Literacy Crisis. I'm so tired of this boring take that only reading romance is contributing to the literary crisis. People who dont read, who will never want to read, and won't teach their children to read are contributing to the literary crisis.
Audiobooks = reading in my eyes. No matter how you consume the content, I'd love to hear your takes on it.
I do not know SJM personally, but I have the general belief that most people are good and try their best to do good things. That doesn't exempt them from criticism but I'm will not be engaging with anyone claiming she's the devil incarnate.
Lastly, and most important: MY CRITICISM OF SJM AND HER BOOKS IS NOT A PERSONAL ATTACK ON YOU FOR ENJOYING THEM.
I know a large chunk of criticism for SJM's writing is that her feminism is very elementary. But honestly, with the rise of conservatism rebranded as "health content" I think that it's basic feminism is very much needed.
Wait it doesnt count if Im a sort of centipede looking thing sometimes right? Doesnt count? Thats not a crab? Ok good. Im spared from carcinisation yet.
The Mother bless Feyre for giving Lucien the precedent that when an Archeron wants to do something, it’s best to just help her, regardless of how “safe” it isn’t.
Hopefully, Elain will be pleasantly surprised and downright confused when Lucien finds out whatever her grand plan is, sighs, and says, “Let’s go.”
my writing ability currently feels on par with that of like…. a seven year old. i’m just writing one sentence. then another sentence. subject verb object, dependent clause period. do any of them relate? unclear. that is for god to decide. i certainly can’t.
can I say something. it is really funny when you see people ripping random queer books to shreds, like dream daddy cancellation style, and then you dig a little deeper to see what unproblematic material meets their standards, and it's all Supernatural and Death Note
similar line of thinking but especially within THIS toxic ass fandom. ripping the canon couples to SHREDS literally, but watching someone's gold standard be Eris X Nesta is... an experience.
still waiting for sarah to let me out of the closet tho.
