In game Diluc is always a bit silly to me, because like in the game we know he owns the dawn winery and angel's share, and he does play an important role in the Mondstadt archon quest, and we know he secretly protects Mondstadt, but like we need to remember that "Mondstadt batman" is the same guy who's considered persona non grata in Snezhnaya because he went for a 3-4 year rampage on the Fatui, they sent harbingers to take him down, they failed (thanks to someone from an underground intel network).

Honestly I'd love if Hoyo elaborated on this more, like it's possible that the whichever harbinger they sent is retired already, but the traveler is still acquainted with Diluc and multiple Fatui harbingers, like there's no way you're friends with probably the highest of higher ups at the Fatui and none of them ever thought to tell you the crazy story about that one guy that relentlessly terrorized them so much that they had to ban him from the country, like come on, I don't even think this will be so important to know I'm just nosy, like which harbinger was it? Is it someone we know? Is it someone we're friends with?
