Reincarnate - Panthera on Mink Skulls

Profiles of the Panthera genus (here: tiger, jaguar, snow leopard) on mink skulls. No mount. Reincarnation from one predator to another, mighty hunters once again. Done in acrylic, metallic paint with semi-gloss vanish.

Hi! I've made multiples of these, so these are for sale! I sell them at $20 for each skull, $55 for a set of three (you can choose which 'cat' you want in the set)! Message me if you'd like one!

Note: These skulls all vary in size, typically from 2.25 inches (5.715 cm) to 3 inches (7.62 cm) in length. Some may also have some damage to zygomatic arches (see the tiger). Price is the same regardless.

Note again: The lower jaws will not be glued on. They are merely fitted into the jaw socket/hinge, so they can be removed and/or repositioned (be cautious that the paint will scrap off within the hinge the more you move it because of the tight fit, if that matters to you).

Cryptid Paws - Feast of Ea

Done in spray paint and acrylic paint with gloss vanish. ------------------------------ The goat fish symbolized the Babylonian god Ea, god of wisdom, crafts, fresh subterranean waters, magic, and incantations. According to the Babylonian star catalogues, the constellation MUL SUḪUR.MAŠ was 'the goat fish'. This constellation later became the Greek and Roman Capricornus. The god Aegipan is also sometimes depicted in Greek art as a sea goat. Imagery found at Aphrodisias, including coins dating back to the 3rd century AD, depict the goddess Aphrodite riding a sea goat.

Cryptid Paws - The Journey of Con Rít

Done in spray paint and acrylic paint with gloss vanish. ------------------------------ This long sea serpent was sighted mostly in southeast Asia, especially near the coast of Vietnam. The Con Rít resembles a gigantic millipede, with jointed, armored segments. Its body is about 50 feet long and a few feet wide. The topside is brown, the underbelly yellow. Each of the many segments is about two feet by three feet, slightly wider than it is long, and each segment contains a pair of lateral projections, plates, or fins that stick out prominently from its sides about two and a half feet long. In Vietnamese folklore, the Con Rít is a revered water dragon, identified as the same segmented dragon that appears in the classic folklore book Chich-Quai.

Cryptid Paws - The Wandering Akh’lut

Done in spray paint and acrylic paint with gloss vanish. ------------------------------ In Inuit folklore, the kăk-whăn’-û-ghăt kǐg-û-lu’-nǐk is a killer whale (akh’-lut) that can shapeshift at will into a wolf (kǐg-û-lu’-nǐk) to hunt on land. The name of kăk-whăn’-û-ghăt kǐg-û-lu’-nǐk is applied to those creatures when in wolf form. They are aggressive and will kill humans if given the chance. The kăk-whăn’-û-ghăt kǐg-û-lu’-nǐk is typically depicted as halfway through its transformation – whale at one end and wolf at the other. The beluga whale and caribou are a similarly symbiotic pair, becoming a whale in the sea and a reindeer on land.

Cryptid Paws - The Glow of the Iriomote Bat

Done in spray paint and acrylic paint with gloss vanish. ------------------------------ Iriomote Glowing Bat was witnessed as a mysterious winged cryptid flying at high speed near the coast of Iriomote Island, Okinawa, Japan, glowing a yellowish green before it flew out of sight. Fun Fact: Glowing has been found in six species of bat including big brown bats, eastern red bats, Seminole bats, southeastern myotis, gray bats and Brazilian free-tailed bats with a consistent emission peak between 520 and 552 nanometers, giving them a greenish hue under ultraviolet light.
