*Maybe he was being serious. No, he wouldn’t do something like that. Even if he wanted this to be over he wouldn’t try turn hurt me right? No this was a joke. But maybe it’s was just a way to get around the question. Maybe he doesn’t really love me. Maybe he just stays with me because he knows i’d protect him. Oh god. Oh god. Oh god.*

Walt's reaction was something he wasn't expecting. Matthew's smirk turned to a frown and his eyebrows hitched. Well, fuck, if he didn't feel bad before, he certainly did now.

"Of course I can. Yes. Why would you expect any other answer?" Matthew avoided eye contact for a moment, taking the time instead to turn and gaze around the cabin and all of its other inhabitants. Everyone seemed to be getting along. Still, he had to deal with how weird Walter was acting. Something actually must be going on. "... I love you. You know I was just joking."

Still, guilt for worrying his partner pricked at his skin and at his nerves.

"No its nothing like that it’s just… I know we’ve been together since this started, and even a little before that. You’ve put up with me for a lot longer than anyone else has."

The younger snorted, but Walter's words filled him with relief. So he totally hadn't just brought a bunch of evil people in their living space. That was good, at least. Still, the vagueness of Walter's words had caused him to tilt his head like that of a confused puppy.

His heartbeat began to slow, and Matthew took a deep breath, letting some of that pent up stress from the moment before fade away.

"Hm... Yeah, I don't think so, no. Sorry."

It was a joke, of course.

"Matthew, can I talk to you?" *Walter took a quick glance around at the people staying with them in the lodge.* "In private?"

The first thought in his mind: oh no.

"... Yeah," Matthew started, feeling a flutter in his stomach already. In private. Normally that meant something was wrong, or that the others had been keeping something from him. The anxiety of the situation caused his head to swarm with possibilities: someone was bitten? Were they actually bad people? They had some sick secret? Were they cannibals?

With an audible gulp, Matt tugged down his hood and rubbed at the top of his hair. "Is something, well, wrong? Is it like... Urgent?"

Oh, fuck. -Matthew utters a bit too suggestively, but he can't help but melt into Walter's touch. He'd always been great at massages, though Matthew himself couldn't ever really reciprocate. Sometimes he wouldn't apply enough pressure, or his fingers were just too damn bony against Walt's back, which was often uncomfortable for him. Though the other claimed that Matt didn't need to worry about it. Whatever, massages still felt good.-

What do you think of Sarita and Kenny?

What do I think of them? They're great, both of them, honestly. Kenny can be kind of a harsh guy sometimes, but who can blame him? And Rita, god, she's a ray of sunshine. Seriously, she's always in a good mood, even if everyone else is down. She really cheers us all up. I think those two are good for each other, too. Opposites attract, you know?
