You see this is the sort of thing I like. Because, especially at Disney, you don’t want to really discourage any of those ideals “thinking, having your own ideas” but you also have to stay in character. So you associate those ideals with the princess in the group, the one who the young girl is supposed to idolize. So, while staying in character, Gaston can announce his displeasure for women who read while also encouraging it in a young girl by giving it the good association of Belle. Idk, I always thought those work arounds that Disney villain face characters go through to not be overtly mean to children but stay in character were really interesting.

Bathbomb was dropped off at my apartment very abused and scared he hid in the bathtub for an entire 24hrs. he barely/if ever ate for about a week and didnt begin exploring the apartment until 3 weeks in

it was a month before he came up to me and it was hard but i sat kinda near him every day i would treat him like he was a new cat and let him smell me before trying to pet him and if he even looked uncomfortable id gently stop and just sing or talk to him

now he climbs on my back and jumps on my shoulder if i dont pay attention to him so it takes work and time

cats are like ppl and have triggers and quirks and trauma and we have to be respectful and gentle its not that hard of a concept

“I have Multiple sclerosis. I was diagnosed ten years ago. I can walk, but my balance is wonky and my legs get weird. I’ve been doing a lot better lately. But today I said, ‘Do I take the bus and then walk four blocks, or do I just put on my hat and take the scooter?’ The temperature dictates.

MS affects the central nervous system. You get random lesions in random places in your brain or your brain stem or your spinal cord. And wherever that lesion is, it affects whatever your brain or your spinal cord or your brain stem does for that time period.

Once I lost vision in one eye, but it came back. Like, overnight. Another time, I had to use a wheelchair for a while because my left side wouldn’t work. Every time you recover, you’re like, ‘Yay!’ But six months later, you get a new lesion and you’ve got to start all over again.

Before, I didn’t notice if there were handrails. Or if all the curbs were okay or if the sidewalks were even. So now I’m obviously aware because I need to be. But then I’m also aware for other people. I didn’t think about those things before. It’s made me more aware of other people who also have difficulties.

It’s not that I wasn’t caring, but you’re busy. You don’t pay attention. You don’t notice as much. But once you have a disability, I think you become more in tune to what other people are suffering.”

Congratulations. You’re dating people who for the longest time have been putting up with bullying, mocking, and scorn for most of their lives. That kind of shit stays with people. So imagine their surprise when they see a member of the opposite sex, who I’m assuming is really attractive in comparison to most people, wear attire that reps nerd culture. Which even though is accepted by the masses (if you’re reasonably attractive) is still rare. Now I’m not saying that you’re not allowed to be scornful I’m just saying expect it and don’t be surprised when you hear it. Ok? OK.
