LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Lol hi Iām the previous anon back again I found the book it was from.
āAfter dinner, Whitlam gave the Queen a birthday present: a ādeep-piled cream sheepskin rug,ā which she and her sister flirtatiously sat upon after it had been spread on the floor of the drawing room. āThat evening she was quite determined to catch her man,ā Martin Charteris told author Graham Turner. āA lot of her sexuality has been suppressed, but that night, she used it like a weapon. She wrapped Gough Whitlam round her little finger, knocked him sideways. She sat on that rug in front of him, stroked it and said how lovely it was. It was an arrant use of sexuality. I was absolutely flabbergasted.ā Whitlam later said to Charteris, āWell, if sheās like that, itās all right by me!ā

How incredible ! A letter from Queen Elizabeth II to Prince Philip, 3 weeks before their reunion in Lisbon in 1957, has been auctioned and made public.
āStill 3 weeks to go and what a tiresome date it is, too,for meā , āAll my love darling, your very loving Lilibetāš„ŗ
Ps : Elizabeth and Anne wanted the beard offš¤£

Jan. 23rd 1957
Darling,
Here are 3 sheets - a very poor effort, I fear, but may put you a bit more into the picture of what has been going on here!
I hope the films will arrive all right and will be what you need. What a pity Holloway didnāt remember to top up the films before you got out of touch.
I hope you will appreciate the magnificent saga by Denys - he has worked day & night in his slow fashion to get it ready in time, so do thank him profusely.
Roll on Feb. 16th - still 3 weeks to go and what a tiresome date it is, too, for me! The family is split about the beard. Anne & me want it off, Charles wants it kept for him to see! What will you do?!
All my love darling.
From your very loving Lilibet
I think we're probably missing at least one page, given the reference to "3 sheets", but I believe this is an accurate translation @thephilibetharchive!
thank you for your service š«”

hi anon!!!!!!!! hereās my reviewš¤š¤š¤
Which books, websites, etc. would you recommend to learn more about Philip and Elizabeth?
Hi!
I certainly would not recommend any website because the majority of articles out there when it comes to their marriage are, to put it plainly, bullshit. There are either rumors that were debunked years ago or again, rumors with absolutely no proof. I think itās a common mistake when you try to research about them the first thing the majority of people do is open google and click on the first tabloid they come across, and completely buy what they say.
The best approach would be books, the majority of the authors took the time to research the subject and do not exaggerate when talking about it like the tabloids do. Here are a few books that I read about them:
- Philip and Elizabeth: Portrait of a Royal Marriage by Gyles Brandreth. (THIS IS THE BIBLE! - It is so well written and you can see that Gyles took his job seriously and interviewed friends of them and even Philip!!! one of the reasons i trust this book so much is because one of the people this book is about was interviewed.)
- My Husband and I: The Inside Story of 70 Years of the Royal Marriage by Ingrid Seward. (Now, I do not like Seward very much but I liked the book - I still took some parts with a grain of salt.)
- Prince Philip: The Turbulent Early Life of the Man Who Married Queen Elizabeth II by Philip Eade. (As the title says, it gives us an extensive view of his childhood and youth and how those experiences shaped him into the man we know today - I feel like heās very misunderstood by the public, thanks mostly to the press, and after reading this you understand the way he is like he is and also empathize with him. In conclusion? he deserved and deserves better.
- Elizabeth the Queen: The Life of a Modern Monarch by Sally Bedell Smith. (I went straight to the chapters they talked about her and Philip because if it wasnāt obvious to you all, I am a whore for their love storyā¤ļø)
- Daughter of an Empire: My Life as a Mountbatten by Pamela Hicks. (I think this one is one of the most accurate ones because Pamela is the cousin of Philip and was a lady in waiting to Elizabeth, so I trust what she says with my life. Through the book she gives us snippets of their relationship which are adorable, hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking. A bloody rollercoaster.)
Those are the ones I read, I have more on my list which iāll review when I read them but I hope you find this helpfulš¤. Also donāt hesitate to ask @philibetexcerpts theyāre a specialist when it comes to philibeth books and read far more than me so they will probably help you more.
Warning: If you come across Kitty Kelleyās book DO NOT READ THEM, they are complete bullshit because she basically used professional gossips, left-wing republican journalists, rumors debunked years ago and dead people as her sources. Ask anyone here, theyāre awful and a waste of time.
Have you ever realized that Liz and Philip are the real life versions of Muriel and Eustace from Courage the Cowardly Dog? Itās hilarious whenever I think of it.
PLEASEEEEEEEGMSNFISNFNSJFNS
What??! Is there a tag for philibet dirty confessions ?? š Cuz I canāt find š«

If you were to find an old letter written by the great couple, would you imagine a scenario of that day or would you share it with the audience?
