YO! Peep this album coming from a locally renowned producer/MC named Oln Verayne. Oln dropped his sophmore hip hop album aptly titled âMade To Createâ While you might sit there and try and piece together where he got his name from, Iâm sitting here wondering what else is hidden out there in Newark. Coming out of the southern end of the San Francisco Bay, Oln really makes it known that you donât have to be from the Main hot spots in the Bay to be heard, as you should do yourself a huge favor and download this album for free at www.OlnVerayne.com âŠ
Jumping right into this album, the Intro brings to mind the humming of Kid Cudi to the melody of The XX. Itâs almost as if he is warming up, similar to stretching before a workout. His first single titled âSunshineâ is a gorgeous tune perfect for bringing out the old school and just riding around. Paying homage to Roy Ayers, Itâs sound takes me all the way back to the 90âs with a beat that you would only hear on the west coast. The video (check the link above) is out now on YouTube so make sure you check that out as well. Oln also has a song speaking directly to the streets as explained in âTrunk Knock Tilâ It Popâ a song you will definitely hear rattling a few trunks throughout the bay. One thing that is different about this album is something we arenât really used to, a different delivery which is rare nowadays. Oln keeps the cursing off the album. Some might look at that and pass judgement and not even give this man a chance, But believe me. Cursing or no cursing, Oln is a gifted individual who has talent and can put together a solid album as demonstrated with this gem âMade To Createâ. Donât sleep on this album! Head over to www.OlnVerayne.com for his latest work and add him on Instagram: @olnverayne. -The Plug

#MACDREMONDAYS
Here at The Plug we not too great with introductions so bare with us. Thereâs a couple things you should know about us before we get into this shit⊠1. we HELLA bay. And 2. We do this shit for the culture. With that being said, we gone start off by saying THE GAME FUCKED UP. We not those hip hop/rap fans that fake care and wanna take shit too FAKE seriously. You know what fan Iâm talking about? Got âhip hop headâ in all their bios. Just discovered a Tribe Called Quest track two weeks ago. Favorite rapper probably Joey Bada$$. Favorite Lupe album probably Lasers. Nah nah⊠thatâs not us. But we are low key a little sensitive about the culture. You damn corn balls got us bugging so much we decided to start a blog. A FUCKING BLOG DUDE. Now whack and dance music been around forever⊠ya ABC joints⊠ya rap wanna be pop shit⊠straight ignorant not spitting any kind of bars whatsoever⊠thatâs all been around since the 80âs. Not gonna act like we donât bob our head to whack shit every now and then.. might even mess around and start rapping/singing around. Shoot when the REMY IN THE SYSTEEEEEMMM you might think that whack shit our favorite shit, if itâs the right kind of night. You know whatâs really wrong with this generation? YALL LET THE WHACK SHIT FLOURISH TOO MUCH. Like WAY too much. I donât know what yaâll grew up on⊠but one of our favorite rappers always told us⊠âI know it ainât easy⊠rhyme spillin. but thatâs no justification for rhyme stealin.â Yaâll forgot that rule though. Worship and support all the biters and dickriders like itâs the thing to do. Yaâll do yaâll though. Itâs like my mans Ghost said âthe whack shit you enjoy donât impact my life in the slightest way bâ And by Ghost Iâm referring to BIGGHOSTLTD, you can google him.. he kinda something like a genius/legend minus the constant thirst for attention and fame. He stopped blogging, but his twitter and instagram beyond fire--- you cornballs should do yourself a damn favor and read some of his shit. Anyways, here at The Plug we gone keep ya laced with real music sprinkled with some sports/fashion content. Whatever we feel is dope at the time. But our main goal is to bring this bay shit back. We all know everyday is DRE day, but we also got this little thing called #MACDREMONDAYS and since itâs Monday we thought weâd shareÂ
Why This Scene In Fruitvale Station is One Of the Greatest Scenes In a Movie: A Bay Area Confession.Â
For those of you not familiar with the film, itâs based on the true story of Oscar Grant. Oscar Grant is a 22-year-old Bay Area resident who crosses paths with friends, enemies, family, and strangers. The film leads up to his last day of 2008 when he was shot in the back and killed by a police officer. Ryan Coogler (director) did an amazing job telling the story of the Oscar Grant case in his film, Fruitvale Station. Fruitvale Station focuses on some of the biggest problems we face in society today: police brutality and gang violence. Nowadays most of us donât know what to fear most, our own people or the cops. The murder of Oscar Grant hit home for all of us and is a case weâll never forget. Whatâs most disgusting about the Oscar Grant case⊠and the Eric Garner caseâŠ. Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, Renisha McBride, Amadou Diallo, John Crawford, & Jordan Davis caseâŠ. is that itâs not like other murder cases. No oneâs trying to find out who pulled the trigger. No oneâs searching for the killer. The big question these cases focus on is whether an unarmed black person deserved to die. But this isnât a rant about police brutality and the injustices we face that go ignored by those not of the minority group, every. damn. day. We want to pay respect and recognize a particular scene in this movie. Ryan Coogler didnât only do a great job with Oscar Grantâs story, he did a great job telling the bay areaâs story as well. If there was ever a scene in a movie portraying the greatest amount of accuracy towards the bay area and itâs residents, IT IS THIS ONE RIGHT HERE. This scene is personally my favorite, because whether youâre white, black, brown, purple, or stuck on a train about to miss the countdown to New Years⊠you play Andre Louis Hicks ANYWHERE in the bay area and this is literally what will happen. Here is a moment where a group of people of different ethnicities and backgrounds (this is BART everyday FYI) are put in a situation of both panic and fear, and the voice of just one Young Black Brotha brought everyone together. And suddenly, everything is alright. We hope you enjoy this clip and remember the life of Oscar Grant and the many others who have fallen to police brutality.
