Until now, I sometimes still find the brushes of makeups are confusing. There are so many types of it, as well as just wanting to buy one that suites the makeup product you use. But I just don't know which to use for whatever product I have. Brushes help you to apply the makeup more nicely on your face and as I experienced before, it will also make the application to your face looks smoother. I found myself checking on the Internet before I bought the brushes I have so I know which to use for which product. The link I found is quite useful to explain about the use of the brushes, it might help you too x
MaX Factor Smoky Eye Effect Eyeshadow
The next drugstore makeup chosen is the Smokey Eye Effect Eyeshadow from MaX Factor. I found this product accidentally as it looked quite unique so it easy to catches your eyes too. And it has wonderful colours to be chosen from as well.
Price: $21.95 AUD
Colour Availability: 8 Different Combination of Double-Ended Pen Style Eyeshadow
What it has? It has a pen-style design with double-ended (2 colours in one pen) feature.
What it does? This eyeshadow product provides you with 2 colours that can be combined to make a smokey eye effect to your eyes. Like any other products, when it has a pen-style design, it will make yourself easier to apply the product as you're usually using pen as well in school or work, it makes you more familiar with the applicator.
Extras? When I use this eyeshadow, I always apply the two colours first, using the darker colour on the outer side, and the lighter one for the inner side. After applying the colours, it might sometimes not appear so smooth, so I use my own brush (just the small one, people usually call it a 'blender' or 'blending brush') to blend the colours together and make them look smoother. As the pictures show, the product also gives you more spaces for other makeup products in your bag as it is so practical and already gives you two shades, which you don't always need to wear both, just apply to your eyelid when you desire to.
So that's the today's review of a drugstore product that I actually use on daily-basis. All the review I wrote came from my own experience of using the product, so I won't lie to you about it. Hope it helps in some ways and don't forget to check out my other reviews x
The mascara wand can also be called as the brush you use to apply the mascara to your lashes. Do you need to clean it? I found this article from another blog, it may helps you to decide whether it is already your time to do so, and if it is, it tells you how to clean the brush. Have fun cleaning!
Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Mascarra
The next drugstore makeup chosen is Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara from Maybelline. I have been using this product since forever! And it is actually available in so many countries (I moved to 3 different continents so far in 4 years, and they all have it; the UK, Indonesia, and Australia). I'm pretty sure it is also available in wherever you are right now.
Price: $19.25 AUD
Colour Availability: The Blackest Black
What it has? It has a uniquely amazing looking brush and a really bold black colour.
What it does? The unique brush gives the ability to easily apply the mascarra to your lashes. The brush helps you to separate and lift the lashes to your desirable look, which also makes your lashes look fuller and have no gaps from any angle.
Extras? The product is available in washable and waterproof formula.
My favourite way to use the product: My lashes always look too short without mascara. So, even when I don't intend to use makeup, I still use mascara a little. When I do my daily-base makeup, to combine with the liner I use, I also use 2 types of mascaras. I always start with MaXFactor Lash Extension Effect and then combine it afterwards with Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara to make it more bold and longer looking.

At first, I was confused to distinguish between lip butter and other lip products. But I learnt from the experience (5 years of using makeup so far) to differentiate them. Continuing from my last review about Revlon's Lip Butter product, I hope the link will also help you. This article I found explained pretty much what I know and also talked about other types of lip products. It is worth to check of course!
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter
Hi all!
The next drugstore makeup chosen is the lip butter named Colorburst from Revlon. I have been using this product since early 2013. So it has been quite a while and here are the reviews about it.
Price: $21.95 AUD
Colour Availability: 20 different shades
What it has? This product has such an amazing colour choice, which you can choose the one that is suitable for you. It has the feature as a lip butter product and also a cute and simple package.
What it does? As the name explains, it is a lip butter product, so it will really moisturise and tend to soften the lips more. And that what the Colorburst from Revlon does. My lips are always so dry makes this product suits me well. I have 3 colours already, 065 Creamsicle, 085 Sugar Plum, and 040 Red Velvet. But each colour seems to have a different moisturising level to my lips. The lighter colour tends to moisturise less, and the other 2 does very well to prevent my lips from getting dry. The colour also stays long even after a small bite of hamburger.
Extras? I've checked Revlon's website about the Colorburst product. And it explains about things they included in the lip butter, which I just knew and it makes sense how it moisturises my lips awesomely. I've listed them below:
- Hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula boosts lip moisture by 156%
- Pampering gel formula provides super charged hydration and glides on lips buttery smooth
- Sheer to medium colour with buttery shine

My favourite colour so far: 040 Red Velvet, it gives you a mature woman look with the colour. It moistures the best between 3 colours I have and the colour stays even longer than my lip tint.
So that's the today's review of a drugstore product that I actually use on daily-basis. All the reviews I wrote came from my own experience of using the product, so I won't lie to you about it. Hope it helps in some ways and don't forget to check out my other reviews x
Reblog: How To Hide Dark Circles
If there was one thing that concealer became famous for it was its ability to cover dark circles; whether you had a late night, too much caffeine or you just have naturally dark under-eyes chances are you’ve reached for some concealer before. Sometimes it isn’t quite as easy as slapping patting on a little concealer and calling it a day; there are hundreds of concealer blunders from reverse raccoon eyes, terrible creasing and plain-old cakiness.

It might be hard for girls when they first watch a makeup tutorial with the names people used to describe the steps. I found this link quite useful to explain parts around the eye with the names usually used by makeup tutorial on Youtube, as well as the terms I'd be using for my blog. You should check this out too!
Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner
Hi all!
The first drugstore makeup chosen is the liquid liner named Master Precise from Maybelline. I have been using this product since the first time I moved to Australia in late July this year. So, it has been almost 3 months that I'm using this product.
Why liquid liner? It always depends on one to choose between several types of liner. There are pencil liner, brush liner, and liquid liner. I have tried all of them, and I found the most suitable one for me is the liquid one. I always use liquid liner for the most of eyelid makeup and also pencil liner to line the water line of my eyes. It will all make sense when you try them yourself. I tried using brush liner before and many people found it as the most easier to use, but not for me. I haven't been achieving a success thin and normal looking line by using the brush one. Then again, it really depends on oneself to choose the liner which suitable for their using.
Why did I change to Master Precise? I used to use this liquid liner from Korean brand named CLEO, which was a special order as well when I was in Indonesia. So, I know there would be no chance of getting that product here, in Australia. I went to the nearest drugstore to my current house and found this adorable pen looking liquid liner in Maybelline stall. There's a time when you get a dilemma of buying something or not, especially when the currency of the new place you're living is much higher than your home country. But Master Precise gave a great impression by highlighting its features, such as shaped as a pen and looking easy to use. The next thing I know I found myself buying the product in the cashier.
Price? $13.95 AUD
What it has? Unlike normal liquid liner, the title of this product says it all! Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner has a body like a pen or a marker, and it is available in black colour only (as I tried to find some other colours for this product, but I couldn't), and it has a amazingly thin tip.
What it does? From the structure of this product, it actually allows to hold the liquid liner like when you hold a normal marker. And with the really thin tip, it lets you to draw a line easier, as well as minimising mistakes when you stroke a line on your eyelid.
Extras? It is a waterproof product, so make sure to clean up after a day use. It can stay the whole day without smudging to the corner of the eyes and it gives you a bold look from its thick colour.
So that's the first review of a drugstore product that I actually use on daily-basis. All the review I wrote came from my own experience of using the product, so I won't lie to you about it. Hope it helps in some ways and don't forget to check out my other reviews x
