Notice how the animals named are INVERTEBRATES and BIRDS.
It’s almost like humans are mammals or something.
The point is taken about how no other animal enforces the level of aesthetic alteration that humans do. But consider … TUMBLR is where people make fun of “incels” for not bathing regularly and we all know in general society “neckbeards” get heckled. According to transitioned people I’ve listened to … keeping your facial hair cleanshaven is considerably harder than legs. Especially given estrogenized people have thinner and more manageable hair on average. We are at a point in society where nobody can stand a “natural” smelling human anymore because we’ve collectively deemed that unacceptable. The hippie movement pushed back against this but they dwindled. And idk abt you but I’m 100% asexual and even I appreciate a good smooth leg to run my hands over. Like. You can be mad about tactile enjoyment that’s at the base of this attitude if you want. But guys getting full body waxes have simply jumped on the bandwagon. It would perfectly fine to insist a given man do the same hair removal, if they’re being that way about it. Reverse it onto them.
But anyway. Back to the animals.
Like yes, some male animals do have to “court” females, a little, but none of them to my knowledge have the level of stuff you’re looking at from entirely different clades.
Female bovines will just literally “lock up” and be almost unable to move while in heat.
And we do NOT want to be imitating what many, many male mammals (and some fish and lizards, since you seem bent on including totally dissimilar species) have to do to win a mate: fight other males.
Uuuggghhh actually just imagine if our and chimpanzees’ shared ancestor hadn’t diverged enough from gorillas and that was a cultural norm. “Hey that guy won the duel/gladiator/wrestling whatever he declared over you, now you have to marry him.”
Nobody should have to beg and nobody should have to fight. Your fantasizing about power dynamics is maybe understandable given the power dynamics of current society, but it’s ultimately not cute.
And not well-adjusted either.
Like if you wanna get into yoni worship or whatever there are outlets for that, I suppose, but average Tumblr users have a hostile relationship with anything even vaguely religious-flavored, in my experience.
Anyway don’t use nature as a template for anything, except in some cases it’s probably useful to fight the workaholic, cubicle culture.
