This is my favorite dress from Forever 21. I own it in every color except red because I'm not a big fan of red colored clothing. The dress I'm wearing is in Fuchsia. It's very stretchy so if you usually wear a size bigger than 3x, you might find that you can still fit it!
The denim jacket from Old Navy is supposed to be a cropped jacket, but it feels like a normal length jacket on me, which is what I wanted anyway. I just didn't like the wash on the normal length jackets they had so I got the cropped, lol. That worked out! The jacket also is pretty stretchy and runs big. I sized up because I like a baggier fit.
For my necklace, I bought the charm from my local Hobby Lobby for like 3 dollars and I just used the chain from an old F21 necklace I never wear anymore. Boom! New necklace.

In this OOTD, I am wearing a shirt I bought from an Etsy store and actually ended up doing a little reconstruction on. The designs are printed on Gildan T-shirts and I believe all of them go up to size 5XL, which is great! I wasn't sure how the shirt would fit so I sized up. My regular size would have fit fine, but I don't mind a little extra room when it comes to t-shirts. My first impression upon trying the shirt on....honestly, the shirt was ill-fitting and looked plain awkward on my body. It was way too long. It probably went nearly to the end of my skirt in the photos above. If I put a belt on it, I could have worn it as a dress. The neck was suffocating, and the sleeves literally went a bit past my elbows. Doesn't that sound extremely awkward?
I knew I couldn't wear it like that, but I didn't want the shirt to go to waste, so I looked up different T-Shirt reconstruction tutorials (since I've never cut up a shirt before), and found this one!
I tried it out on a couple T-Shirts I never wear before I did it on this one, lol. I think it turned out alright! I cut like 4 inches off the back of the shirt, cut about an inch from the neckline, and then I cut half the length of the sleeves off and ended up with the result above!
As for the skirt, the waistband does have some stretch to it, but I'd probably recommend getting your normal size in it. Also, the fabric of this skirt has a tendency to accentuate all of your lumps and bumps, so if you're mindful of that kind of thing then you might want to wear your Spanx with it or what have you.

I never would have thought anyone would want to follow a blog that had me as the focus, lol. I made this blog so I could show outfits I wear that I think are cute, since it's not everyday that I feel that way. I also want to help other girls my size find cute clothes which is why I always post where I bought things and try to provide links, if applicable.

Hello, again! This is the first smock dress I've owned and I actually like it a lot. I can see myself buying more smock dresses in the future! For this particular dress, I'd say it's true to size. There is a bit of stretch, but I wouldn't bank on it. Looking at the photos of it online, I thought the buttons down the front were just for appearance, but you can actually unbutton it down to the waist. As for the sleeves, they are fine if standing still with your arms to your side, but if you are being more active they can feel a bit constrictive if you have larger arms.

This OOTD was shot in a quick hurry, but I actually like the pictures that came out of it! I just wanted to note a couple things about the skirt and shirt.
I got the acid wash skirt from Deb Shops when they were having a big sale. It was normally 30 bucks, but I got it for 15 which was a steal to me! So I got that and I also got the same skirt in a dark wash. I like the dark wash one better, but I do still quite like the acid wash skirt. The only thing I don't really like about it is that it has lines going down it that can make you look like you're wearing it lopsided, but you're really not, lol. Also, it's not actually jean. It's made out of a stretchy material that just has the appearance of jean, but that's not something I mind. Also, it's got a good stretch to it. I usually wear size 22 in jeans and I got this in a 3x. I probably could have gotten away with a 2x in it though. When I stretch the waistband of the skirt out in front of me, I'd say there's a good 3 or 4 inches of stretch.
Now onto the shirt! First of all, sorry I couldn't find the link for this one on the F21 website. It doesn't seem to be there, but I always see this shirt in the burgandy color I'm wearing and a navy blue color whenever I visit my local F21. At any rate, it's made out of a satin-y kind of material, very thin and breathable. Not necessarily see-through, but I wear some type of cami/tanktop under it when I wear it. Usually, I'm pretty wary about Forever 21 tops. I have big arms and that is usually an issue for me, but to my big armed sisters! I think you will be alright with this shirt. The arm holes leave me like an inch of room. I was so surprised when I tried it on and I didn't feel like my arms were suffocating, lol. All in all, I'd say this shirt is true to size.
I admired this dress from afar for probably 2 months before I finally bought it. Every time I went to Burlington's I would go look at it, anguish, then put it back on the rack. It wasn't super expensive or anything, but for some reason even though I liked the dress my mind was telling me not to buy it. I'm glad I gave in, lol. I really like the prints used. It mostly utilizes a zig-zag pattern, except for the sides which use a polka dot pattern.
This dress is really comfortable and I LOVE the sleeves. I don't like to show my arms much, so I usually wear a cardigan with my sleeveless dresses. It's nice not to have to worry about that!
New hairstyle! But aside from that, I've never worn any type of leather bottoms before, but I'm diggin' the skirt. Only thing I'd warn you of is that it is pretty short. Shorter than it looks, especially if you plan to wear it high-waisted.
I liked this outfit a lot! I especially got a lot of people saying they liked the sweater, but for me the hero of this outfit was the shoes! Totally in love with them.
