But Alice can't cut off her finger to be perfect because the ink regenerates the host! Sammy dies twice and comes back, Norman dies and comes back, Alice will most likely come back. They can't just remove their own finger!

What does the number of fingers have to do with who is ink-crazy and who still holds a shred of their humanity?

So! I think that loosing the last finger on someone who has been subjected to the ink is the last stage of ink-madness that takes over the host. So like.

The toons always have four fingers (three fingers + thumb) but the ones who still hold pieces of themselves have all five fingers.

Malice, Allison, and new girl Audrey has all five fingers - they retain a piece of their humanity and possibly their souls (as they look the most human)

Norman/Projectionist has all five fingers because (despite what he is) has enough of his humanity due to being part with what he loved and he remembers it - aka, the projectors.

Monster Bendy has all five fingers - the person inside of him still knowing what's going on. But eventually gives into the ink and gives himself up, and becomes Beast Bendy who has four fingers.

Buddy/Boris and Tom lost sense of who they were and thus only have four fingers.

Sammy went off his shits in the ink and only has four fingers in game.

Joey has five because he was never needed by the ink, so far.

And it's an idea Henry is coming to the ink madness and so Mr. Chompers (creepy bendy with teeth) appears to have five. But it could be four, it's hard to tell.

The ink is shown as a driving force to those affected by it, and driving them insane and taking control of them. Maybe it was a step in making certain people into "perfect" characters (Buddy to Boris example), or maybe it was something else. But having that last finger surely differentiates characters who have a piece of themselves vs those who are lost to the ink.

At least from what I noticed.

I really want the near perfect Bendy to be Henry! Also, Bendy looks really cute in clothes, I'll definitely buy it when the merch actually comes out!

Okay so like. I'm thinking that this Bendy with the teeth.

Is Henry.

He's so close to being the perfect Henry, and seeing as what Alice did to Boris and never actually died, then there's a chance she could have done this to Henry. Or Joey did. Or anyone did.

Also, that is like, human-like. That looks more human than Sammy did. Sammy has a line during his big fight that is “I’m gonna cut that smile right off your face!”, which implies Henry was smiling the entire time. Maybe he couldn't control it! Maybe that's why Tom was so wary and angry with him, and Allison so uncomfortable at first.

Something happened to Henry. And I have a good feeling that he is Mr. Chompers there, or maybe the Sammy-Lookalike. Even the title pushes this idea of "Dark Revivals". Henry "revives" through most of the game (or to restart the loops if you're an og player).
