Saying that fem Will as a bottom is harmful but then saying you like fem Mike and therefore you enjoy bottom Mike in the same breath. But I thought being fem had nothing to do with bottoming (to which I agree), so what are you on, hm?
I personally don't think Will HAS to be a bottom, or can only do that, or that his gnc traits are the reason for this sex position, I just prefer it that way and I only read bottom Will fics. That's it.
I don't go out of my way to spam fan artists or harass fanfic writers so they do my fave dynamic, I'm just happy to interact with content creators who have the same taste as me and I mind my own business.
And having strict preferences (in fiction, mind you) is not new, neither it is weird or harmful.
Surprise, suprise, even in real life, not all gay people are switches. Some are strict top/strict bottom. Some are asexuals or aromantics. Some are sex repulsed. Some are dom/sub/verse, or none of these things. It's a spectrum of experiences, and not everyone will relate to everyone else's experiences.
You're not a fake gay if you're only into a specific, fixed dynamic. Like wtf.
I don't hate bottom Mike/Top Will as much as I simply do not find it buzzy, it's not for me, I don't enjoy it, so why the hell would I force myself to. Just like you have the right to like this and not enjoy bottom Will/top Mike.
The problem comes when 1. people tries to force their preferences on others. 2. people try to put a moral judgment over other people's preferences (ofc their own preferences are morally superior and the only right option). 3. people justifying their preferences by repeating homophobic rhetoric.
And please don't ever suggest I use Will as a self-incert just because I want to be fucked by Mike/Finn, I'm a lesbian, I don't want a man's dick near me.
And this is not to say some bottom Will enjoyers cannot say weird shit or are all innocent, but so far, thank god, I haven't come across similar things (but if I did, I'd think it's equally weird and wrong, and I'd block these people).
