-Why do they wear masks you say...?- the oldest of the Emeritus raised an eyebrow and glanced back to the curious sister. -Is never wise to inquire about these kinds of things young one, but oh well, I guess it won't hurt you to know.-

-The mask of a ghoul helps them to keep a human form in the mortal realm and their demonic nature under control. While most of them are well behaved, better think twice before removing their masks, their eyes were never meant to be seen by normal man, our ancestors place those masks on their faces to shackle them into servitude, because as you know, a demon is never truly tamed, and whatever creature is sealed behind that veil is better left undisturbed.
