Marvel by Moebius.
The first painting of my ‘solitude’ series. The concept was born when I sketched a little fisherman in my sketchbook and I just wanted to draw him an inch high on a giant wall to isolate him and give him that much more peace of mind. This feeling is something that not enough people seek out these days. So turn off your phone, grab your waders and go listen to birds chirping, brooks babbling and treasure your solitude. Acrylic on Panel 14”x14”
Hopefully by the time this is posted I’ll have a few more in the series to show so click the pic to see them!
I like this.

Not long ago we shared these incredible illustrations by a 15-year-old Egyptian asylum seeker who is currently held at the Villawood Detention Centre in Sydney AU with her parents and 5 siblings. Her father, Sayed Abdeallatif, has been separated from the family and has been on the run from persecution for 22 years. We have been working with this family and support this online petition calling for the Abdeallatif family to have their claims processed in the community.
Please follow the link to read more about the Abdeallatif’s story, in which an Australian Human Rights Commission investigation has found that the Department of Immigration is in breach of Article 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights in relation to the detention of each member of this family.
Australia's treatment of asylum seekers is barbaric. But somehow the art manages to be uplifting as much as heart-rending.
Still doing the same things, again and again. But i think i finally find something interesting for my script.
