it’s 3 in the morning and i just realized that loving kpop boys is like experiencing love for the first time through each of them. mark would share his love for the sky with you through photographs; haechan would pray for your happiness; doyoung would always keep his promises; jaehyun would affirm his unchanging gratitude and love; jaemin would always shower you with words you always need; renjun would share how his day went, and so much more.

all of these because i received mark’s bbl with him saying that every time he sees the sky, it feels like he has to show it to someone. and that someone ends up being us, his fans.

mark may not know how profound my love for him is but i— maybe in the slightest— have an idea on how he does love :)

“She used to be a little kid but now she’s all grown up.” I think about that too, at times. But the half truth is that maybe I did grow up a little faster than the kids my age did or that maybe I am telling that world I am healing my inner child but I’m just stuck and could not grow up. I don’t know, life’s kinda tricky.

As I look back, there are a lot of things to be thankful for. One of them is the pain of outgrowing places and people. When I walk away from situations and connections that no longer respect me, I should say something along these lines— “oh, I’ve grown little again.”

I think that is part of mastering self-love although I suck at it because I can’t even fix my body clock— but hey at least I love myself enough to not let the person that my mom raised with all her love and bravery not be disrespected by anyone who refuses to be kind.

I had so much love to give and I used to be sweet. If this is what growing up really is then it’s really one tough act to follow. Or I don’t know? Januarys have always been the hardest for me.

time is a social construct— years can feel like days and a few seconds can feel like years too.

there are times when i can’t help but think about the things that i’m not yet healed from. my heart still aches at times like a running water on an open wound. sometimes i would hate it, i would be angry but most times i would pity myself. honestly, it’s not the most pleasant feeling ever. breaking down at the slightest noise in your ear even when the sun is shining so brightly would be the hardest part.

but i will keep on trying for the sunrise and the sunset tells me it will come. healing will come to me.
