welcome!

you have reached my side project of archiving every official and up-to-date psychomancer post i can find. this is part of my ongoing efforts to compile all the psychomancer lore and make it as accessible to fellow fans as possible.

the psychomancer species and related characters, and all lore and art that will be shared here, belong to Riveren (@/riverennn). i claim none of the characters, art, or lore as my own; this is a fan-run blog.

FNF Mind Games will be included on this blog, but will be considered a separate universe as it is not canon to Psychic's official story. its content will be tagged separately from canon psychomancer lore.

A: he does have a mouth, just doesn't really use it cuz he communicates with telepathy instead. at least fnf psychic has one lol, idk about canon. probably not in canon

A: nah, not retconned. i guess i just didn't use that talk sprite for some reason or another, maybe i just forgot. i think i also wanted to reserve the 'reveal' of his mouth for a cooler scenario… and yeah that never happened lol

Q: also looks like the dialogue got cut down quite a bit in the final cutscene?

A: it was, yeah. i can't say i remember exactly why, maybe i thought it lessened the blow of the fakeout gag if it wasn't more serious at first lmao

"also another thing i wanted to note some might be inclined to view omega & psychic's relationship like a father-son relationship due to the power imbalance, and if you want to interpret it that way, you're allowed to ofc but personally, i view it as more of a mutual partnership that eventually turned into one-sided adoration. they both stood on the same ground at one point, with mutual respect for each other. they bonded through adversity, and their shared wickedness. only, the ground began to shift, leading to the awkward relationship they're currently in."

"btw, i saw some conversation elsewhere and wanted to clarify some things: a gun could never, ever kill a psychomancer. the barrier works differently than that. the barrier blocks almost all physical matter from entering it, no matter how hard it hits. there might be an eventual limit when it comes to mass and speed, but it'd have to be really absurd. like interplanetary 1% speed of light absurd however, barriers can be broken with a very strong psychic impulse. luckily, psychomancers have an automatic subconscious response to counter this.

when their energy flows a very certain way (i.e. when a hole is punched through their barrier) it naturally creates a flash barrier around the hole in a nanosecond to prevent an explosion. this means you could even punch a hole straight through a psychomancer, and it could simply fill back up again. (at the cost of some energy) though, if you manage to separate a body part entirely to sever it from the core, it will be unable to form a barrier and will explode. healthy psychomancers naturally condense their energy around their core to circumvent a large explosion from severed limbs. as for the explosions themselves, they are only deadly to humans within a decent radius depending on how dense the psychomancer's mass is. and that's just from the pressure. the real deadly aspect of the explosions are the after-effects. any humans caught in the energy field could trigger a psychic reaction. depending on the psychomancer's energy type and natural abilities, it could be catastrophic. psychic's pyrokinesis for example, could easily burn down a city, etc."

A: more like psychic is forced to share a universe with her lol don't get me wrong, she still has plenty of her own flaws lmao it's just that everyone else is so much worse she looks like a saint

i feel like Psychic and Myth's relationship is very one-sided. Myth wants to connect with him so badly, she believes he's the only one of her kind that's not just interested in using her.

she mistook Psychic just following his own orders as comradery, the reality is that Psychic would view her as a tool as well if his master were to ask for her service. he has zero interest in actually being her 'friend'

yet she continues trying to pester him, because frankly Myth is very lonely now. she was forced to abandon her home, her friend, her family and everyone she knew. if she knew that Psychic didn't really care about her wellbeing, she would be devastated.

if Psychic wasn't so fixated on his master, it's possible they could bond. but as it stands, he doesn't even view her as a person.

i like the idea that the conflict growing between Psychic and Omega doesn't just result in him being forced to reflect on his relationship with his master, but every single relationship as a whole.

his entire existence will get flipped on its head, and i haven't quite figured out how it'll all play out, but… there's absolutely no way it'll be pretty. not even in the slightest.

Q: psychomancers physically can't sleep right? i swear there was a post about that from forever ago but i can't find it...qvq

A: nah, they don't have to sleep since they don't have any human biological functions.

rather than sleeping, some psychomancers are known to meditate for extended periods of time in order to clear their mind and 'refresh' themselves. some even say that meditation can hone a psychomancer's abilities.

though, they can function completely fine without any meditation at all.

psychomancers who meditate very consistently across a very long period of time can feel drowsy/irritated when they remain 'awake' for too long, but it's merely withdrawal and goes away with time.
