Hope you caught today’s announcement in Techcrunch. We’re launching a new mobile ad product—Tumblr Sponsored Apps.
This is an opportunity for brands with apps to tap into one of the youngest and fastest growing audiences out there, specifically the 65% of our users who access Tumblr from our native iOS and Android apps. Our mobile users are also some of our most engaged, averaging seven sessions per day.
Advertisers on board for launch include Gree, Big Fish, and TwoDots, just to name a few. They’re after the 25% of active gamers who use Tumblr, according to comScore. But expect to see apps from publishers, makers of creative tools, and entertainment platforms too.
Tumblr Sponsored Apps are sold on a cost-per-install (CPI) basis, which means that not only do developers get everything that makes Tumblr an effective advertising platform—message amplification by the community, longevity of posts through reblogs, and the cost efficiency that comes from those things—but they’re only charged for completed installs, and only during the actual campaign period.
Got an app? Want installs? Contact your brand strategist or [email protected].
