ive been thinking abt 'claw headcannons so like... in one of the DLCs some guy feeds his dog a buncha chems like buffout an stuff, and then his dog gets Massive. so imagine if a momma deathclaw gets into some chems while shes gestating eggs and she births some 'claws that are stronger/bigger/faster than normal bc of the effects of the chems? thats a scary thought if ur the sole pfff

Gabe was fed psycho-laced dog food but he was also 200 years old and had a separated brain suspended in easily-altered biomed gel so he, a living subject, was physically and chemically altered over time, but not genetically.the legendary bloatfly is in a cave filled with mutant cave fungus, buffout-laced leeching water supply, and probably radioactive substances; it would have been a mutant offspring after the general population of flies in that cave were impacted over time, which is a more plausible example than Gabe but I digress because you’re missing the most badass result of generational radioactive fuckery in an already mutated modified species:
