“My, my, what do we have here? I can’t say this was expected.”
"Getting there. What? Not happy to see me?"
"Due to recent events, I get suspicious no matter what god is visiting me mother." He explained to her with a small chuckle. "Once I find out why you’re here, then I will tell you if I am happy or not."
"Recent events? Care to explain, darling?" Hera said with a small smirk of her own. "And I simply wish to discuss a few thing with you, about a future engagement I'm planning. I need peace during that day and I'm hopping you can hold off any plans or war for at least a few hours."

A small and bitter laugh issued from the sky god and he sat up in his bed. The look on his face was one of amusement, although he was not doing so to offend his wife. “What has she done? Nothing aside from the usual, I assure you. Nothing surprising.”
He sighed. “There is no denying that she’s been causing more havoc than we can control. She’s always been a— A free spirit, I suppose. But that’s not what I meant.
"… Will she always hate me so passionately?"
Ah. So it was that then. The goddess glanced at her husband, face impassive but thoughtful. For Zeus to ask such a thing showed how much it was truly effecting him, and Hera felt the instinctive need to comfort the god. Old habits die hard, she supposed.
"Not always," Hera murmured, shifting on the bed, coming closer to Zeus as she spoke. "These things take time. Forgiveness takes time. And I don't believe she truly hates you."
Slowly, Hera reached out to the other, fingers brushing lightly against his arm. "She is...upset. But this will pass. It always does."

Sorry for being gone, lovelies. Been a bit busy. I should be coming back to you all soon!

I went to art school when I was little. I took ballet lessons. I played a little kick ball. I was sort of into everything because I had too much energy and I didn’t know where to put it. When I was a preteen, I got into singing, and became really obsessed with it. But then, of course, that didn’t work out.
"Sorry—" He cleared his throat. "What, mother? Better for ya? I think so.”
"Getting there. What? Not happy to see me?"

Zeus followed her into the bedroom, not hesitating to collapse on the grand bed in the centre of the room. He watched his wife with a weak smile, before glancing up at the ceiling. “An arranged one, then? A shame, really. Marriage like that can be nothing but misery.” Makes it seem like ours isn’t so bad.
A bitter laugh issued from his throat, and Zeus sat up in the bed. “Which child isn’t causing trouble is the better question. Seems they’re always out to make my life and job a little bit more difficult.” He sighed. “No, it’s— It’s Enyo. I’m not sure what to do with her any more.”
Listening to her husband's words, the goddess began removing the rings and necklaces that were on her flesh. Ceremonial jewelry, of course. Pretty, but she was no longer in the mood for them. At the mention of Enyo a small frown came to Hera's face. She placed the jewelry down in one of the many boxes she possessed before walking over to the bed.
"What has she done now?" Hera asked, standing at the edge of the bed near Zeus. "She's been causing more trouble than a country of mortals lately. This behavior must be stopped, Zeus."
God to goddess // king-loki and thequeenofthegods
No matter the state of the world, Hera had always put a respectable distance between herself and humans that damaged the planet. As long as marriages were still being celebrated and women still inhabited the Earth, the goddess cared none for the rulers of the worlds or the division of countries. All humans died and eventually new leaders were brought up, new wars were created, but the intention of love and union would always stay.
This, however, was different. Even if a singular human being eventually rule the world, Hera did not concern herself with it. As stated, no one lasted forever. But this was not a mortal man. A god. A god had managed to enslave the human race, and it was not a god she knew on any sort of personal level. That simple would not do. Another god ruling that much could pose a threat. Unless one carefully crafted connections.
Getting into the god's establishment was a simple matter of talking to the right humans. With a simple look they readily opened the door for her, bright eyes seeming to glow as she passed them. Hera walked down the halls, shoes clacking softly as she did. Sharp eyes took in the details of the structure, lips morphing into the smallest of smirk. Now, time to find this Loki.

Obediently, Zeus followed after his wife, wringing his hands. Glad she wasn’t upset with him, the god allowed himself a small smile. It was rare that they were not angry with one another over something, big or small. He cleared his throat, a little weary to tell her his grievances.
"The children have caused a bit of a fuss— It’s nothing to worry about. It’s currently being dealt with as we speak." The anger, he meant. In the form of a storm. To accentuate his point, the distinct rumble of thunder came from outside. "See? Not all bad, then. How was your day, love?"
Hera led them into the bedroom they shared. Good and bad memories surround the room, but the goddess had always thought it a place of letting go at the same time. Hair up, she began to take it down, letting it cascade down her shoulders. She could tell her husband was trying, and for that Hera shot him a small smile.
"A bit draining. The marriage I blessed lacked passion, lacked love. In fact, in lacked everything but political standing and an increased income," Hera said, turning towards Zeus as she spoke. "But what's done is done. Now, which child is causing trouble?"

Seeeeeeee, last time you came about, I was afraid for my health. Now we come to this crossroads, hmm?
[Bala takes her face in both of his hands before she can resist and he quickly presses a kiss to her lips, fingers cradling her jaw as he did so]
Consider the crossroads crossed, dear.
Do you only give happiness in matrimony to those who ‘deserve’ it?
[Bala tightened fists in his pockets, bony knuckles pressing against the fabric of his pockets. What did this even matter? He was a ‘creature of nightmares’. Apparently, he did not matter.]
Out of curiosity.
[Hera frowned at Bala's words, eyes glancing down at his hidden hands. She could feel the tension from him, though she wasn't sure why. Trouble with a marriage of the past perhaps?]
I give blessings to as many as I can. Deciding who deserves it is a matter of opinions. If the couple is truly in love I will always bless them. If not. I will at least give them stability. But even I cannot give happiness to every marriage. Especially to those who no longer believe in me. Why the curiosity?

Consider the crossroads crossed, dear.
You are a goddess of marriage, are you not? It is your job to create happy unions, is it not? Am I wrong in stating so?
[His demeanor had turned to almost agressive. Not towards her, but more so in his words than anything. It appeared Bala had been holding in this anger for awhile.]
Hera, the goddess of Marriage and the Queen of the gods. That’s what you are, yes?
[Surprise briefly showed in Hera's eyes at the sudden questions. She could sense the shift in his mood, angry than before. Questioning, but standing her ground, Hera nodded her head softly.]
Yes, that's what I am. And that's what I do...Why do you ask?
[Hera placed her hands on her hips, no longer feeling as agitated as before. Merely curious.]
