The Ogre
On this, the month of the goddess, Hrēþ-mōnaþ, the people of Camelot are being tormented by the foulest of fiends. It is said that an Ogre runs free in the forest of Camelot. This abominable and brutish humanoid monster is a grotesque and enormous beast that feasts on the flesh of humans and has a particle taste for children!

This is based on the nokken, nokk, or neck (they have a lot of names), water spirits in ancient scandinavian folklore. They usually take on the form of a long-haired young man, and that of a ‘brook horse’, an impressive white horse that lures unwitting victims on its back so it can leap into the water and drown them. Usually considered malevolent spirits, there are a few tales that depict them as playful and harmless; it’s also said that the nokk will teach you their secrets of music if you use the right method of supplication.

this was just supposed to be a sketch but then I got carried away….a lot…but anyway I think this is the final design for my take on a Kelpie. I wanted it to be more monster like than they are usually depicted since they are demons that….disembowel children. At least in most cases. There are some nice ones in legends too so I wanna see how far I can take designing maybe like, different forms of them and stuff. As well as HOOMAN forms?? I dunno we’ll see.

The Kelpie
On this, the month of the gods, Sol-mōnaþ, the people of Camelot are being tormented by the foulest of fiends. It is said that a Kelpie runs free in the rivers of Camelot. This water spirit takes the form of a horse with a watery mane that can transform itself into a beautiful maiden. The Kelpie has the strength of ten regular horses and it uses its capacity to shape shift to lure innocent young men and children into the water, where it drowns and eats them.
Mythological Creatures: Dullahan
A Dullahan is the Celtic version of the Headless Horseman. Unlike other versions, a Dullahan is a type of unseelie faerie and not a vengeful spirit. It rides a black horse pulling a carriage made of thigh bones. The carriage is decorated with various funeral items, such as candles or skulls. It’s cover is made of dried human skin.
The Dullahan itself is entirely black. It holds its head down by its thigh, or up high in the air. The head has small, beady black eyes, and is a greenish white rotting color. In the Dullahans hand is a whip made out of a human spine.
Belief holds that the Dullahan rides along the country side. When the Dullahan stops, it will call out a persons name and cause them to die. Any who stare at the Dullahan while it passes will have blood splashed into their face, marking them for the next death.
Only gold can stop a Dullahan. If it sees gold it will turn and flee. No gates or locks can keep it out, as it can open anything in its way.
The Dullahan: Irish
The dullahan (also Gan Ceann, “without a head”) is a variation of an unseelie faerie that serves as the herald of death. The headless rider may be seen on a carriage constructed from skeletons, pulled by six headless horses, or riding alone on a black charger with a skeletal spine for his whip. No matter their method of transport, the faerie makes no sound as they ride, indicating their otherworld origins. The headless horseman carries their grinning, glowing severed head under their arm, using the rotting head as a lantern for the journey. Locks and gates will open for the rider as they need. If they should discover someone watching them, they are prone to lash out the watchers’ eyes with the whip or dose the watcher in blood to mark them as the next victim. When the dullahan stops riding a person is due to die. The only noise the creature will make is a single utterance of their victim’s name, causing them to immediately pass away. The only way to prolong the dullahan’s inevitable arrival is the presence of a gold object, causing the rider to temporarily flee.

On this, the month after Yule, Ærra Gēola the people of Camelot are being tormented by the foulest of fiends. The fearsome Dullahan is on the loose. This headless horseman is a foreteller of death. The Dullahan is a headless rider who travels on a black horse with flaming eyes, carrying his head under one arm. It is said that every time he stops riding, a human die, while other say he calls out the name in the night of the mortal that will soon die at his hands.
The power of Dearg Due seemed too strong to defeat.
Nandini Syyaid failed to face the monster and, as a result, the creature still roams the streets of Camelot. Its hunger for blood cost four citizens of the kingdom their lives, including a young child.
A new hero was chosen by the fate to help rid Camelot of this horror... will they succeed?
