do you have any mermaid-based quirk ideas??
Ahhh I've thought of a couple! Mermaid/sea quirks are more common in bnha than people think. Some people just live there lol. Here's 3 quirks if you a want a mermaid/sea person!
Siren (mutation) : this one is obvious but there's a twist, the mutation while making the user a mermaid/fish person, it also makes them as ugly as possible! Whenever they sing however, anyone who hears it finds the user to be absolutely beautiful and similar to Shinso can tell others to do what they want for a certain amount of time. Sometimes after the effect wears off one could still be infatuated!
Drawbacks would include a sore throat, likely a limit to the amount of people they can control along with a time limit to the control, and looking ugly in their normal appearance ofc.
Sea Spirit (mutation): the user has a mermaid like appearance (or they can just be made of water, your choice!) And they have absolute control over sea water in a 10-20 ft area around them. The user needs salt water to live though, they can be out of it but have a certain amount of time before drying up and with no salt water around the user can use their body fluids instead, of course that can be costly though.
Drawbacks here are a little obvious, they can only be in salt water and can control it and nothing else. Also the range limit! Otherwise it's a pretty strong quirk.
Pearl Tears (emitter): with this one the user can just have the mermaid mutation (which I would say is pretty possible). With this quirk the user cries pearls instead of tears and can control the powers however they like, controlling their size, where they go. Like pony (horn girl) the user can only control a certain amount of pearls at a time (I would say like 5-6) but they can cry however many they'd like.
Drawbacks: the pearls have the durability of pearls, the pearls can be very painful to cry (I imagine a difference in the parent's quirks so while the user inherited aquatic features they couldn't inherit the protection of pain from the pearls of the other parent. However they could build a pain tolerance) and dry eye. The user usually doesn't have to worry if they're in water, however out of it is a very diffierent story.
I got the last idea from Chinese mermaids who cry pearls! I hope this was useful/helpful in any way and thanks for stopping by!
