So I've wondered for a while if "Decay" was the destructive part of "Overhaul", what would the other half of it be like? Like if "Decay" is the dissembling without the control, what would the reassembling look like?
Quirk: Restore
This Emitter type Quirk allows the user to rebuild and restore materials they come into contact with all five of their fingers. This process will return the target to pristine condition. This can effect anything to a small rag to even parts of a building that has been damaged. For example, touching a broken scrap of metal could cause broken cracks to reseal and bend back into proper position. This can even pull back damaged pieces into their original place. This can be used on both organic and inorganic targets, meaning that it can work on people. This healing can let the user fix up things like small cuts to missing body parts. This gives the user an amazing tool for support, able to fix anything they can get their hands on. They can heal their allies from harm, undo the effects of Quirks on people, take care of injured civilians, restore damages done after fights, or just try to fix stuff around the house. However, this Quirk has no real method to harm anyone or do anything outside of its limited scope, only working to restore something that has been damaged. This relies on the user being able to touch the target, so they can't restore anything that's been burned to ashes or interact with non-solids like blood.
I want to take a moment to hype up an incredible creator over on Tumblr — Quirk Wizard (https://quirkwizard.tumblr.com/)! If you’re a My Hero Academia fan or just love seeing wild, well-thought-out powers, this is the page for you.
Quirk Wizard is known for crafting Original Quirks that feel so real they could fit right into the MHA universe. Each post dives deep into the logic, balance, and creativity behind every ability — not just what it does, but how it works, its weaknesses, and how it could evolve.
Their Quirk Analyses are detailed and insightful, breaking down the mechanics of different powers with the perfect mix of creativity and realism.
But one of the coolest things they’ve done is their concept of Quirk Marriages — imaginative combinations of two Quirks that explore what kind of new ability or character could emerge. It’s such a fun and original idea that really shows how much thought they put into world-building and power dynamics.
If you enjoy creative writing, world-building, or just love talking about Quirks, you need to check them out. Go visit https://quirkwizard.tumblr.com/ , follow them, and show some love for the brilliant ideas they share. Let’s help boost creators who pour so much passion into making the fandom even more exciting! Plus Ultra!
I talk about Quirks and Quirk Accessories. The Ask Box is closed for all requests.
I have a quirk proposal for Tamao Oguro.
or Knuckle dusters Daughter,
his quirk Was ‘Overclock’ (copied form the wiki & adjusted)
Overclock allows the user to accelerate to extreme speeds, to the point that to the user, it looks like nothing is moving. According to Iwao, its true ability consists of stimulating the brain, speeding up the user's perception and thoughts relative to everything else, allowing them to move at a much faster speed than others.
In normal situations, the user can move at speeds approximately three to ten times faster than normal. In emergency situations, when the user's fight or flight response is active, the user can move at speeds a few dozen times faster than normal. The user can move fast enough to the point that the world seems completely frozen.
Overclock also grants the user heightened senses, allowing them to see, hear, and think at hyper speed. They're able to clearly hear words that have been sped up to three-hundred times the normal speed when the Quirk is active
Overclock has several drawbacks. Due to it depriving its user of oxygen, it has a necessary cool-down period between uses, and can only be used for a few seconds at most. The quirk can also go in to an unusable state due to brain injuries such as concussions and curtain injuries to the body.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I was thinking Tamao could have some type of accelerated reflexes, basically she can subconsciously dodge anything including bullets, and move vary fast in certain situations, however she is still naturally slower then her dad,
if she actually tries to use her quirk she has a time limit, the time limit is longer then the one on ‘Overclock’ however when she hits the time limit she may pass out or become vary Exhausted, using it excessively will also give the user a Bad headache and over all discomfort,
she can also process things at faster speeds like videos or audio playing on x10 speed for example, her quirk is more of a subconscious ability then one she can actually tap in to and use, meaning it only really gets consciously used in dangerous situations
Avery Arasaki's Quirk :D (also on their artfight profile)
* Sort of similar to Todorok's quirk
HALF-AIR AND HALF-EARTH
-Description: The user can control the air with their top half, from just under their navel to the top of their head, and control earth with their bottom half, from just under their naval to the soles of his feet.
-Limitations / Weaknesses: overuse of bottom half will cause dry skin (sometimes to the point of split and bleeding skin) and takes a toll on leg strength, overuse of top half can cause dry eyes, windburn, shortness of breath, and increases sun sensitivity, actions may feel segmented because of the body division restrictions, using both elements at the same time requires mental multitasking, less experienced users may cause unstable or weaker results than intended, earth control is limited if the ground is artificial, metallic, watery, or fragile (EX: sand, asphalt, etc.), air control requires open space - enclosed paces or airtight environments limit airflow, earth control requires contact between ground and bottom half and is strongest directly underneath or around user's position, and wind loses power with distance and is best used in mid-range attacks
Examples of the quirk's uses:
Offense: earth spikes, pillars, etc., shockwave type attacks through the ground, trapping enemies by shifting the ground around their legs, blast opponents with wind bursts, creating vacuum pockets to disorient enemies (only temporary, lasting 25 seconds), use directed gusts to speed up projectiles
Defense: raise walls/barriers of earth for cover, cushion falls or incoming impacts by using gusts to slow fall
Mobility: Use earth to create steps or launch pad type dealies, propulsion by wind beneath them (like pointing hands at the ground and then having air push him up), short wind bursts for dodges
Support: Clearing like harmful gases, fire, or debris with air and/or earth, boost allies jumps or runninh with tailwind
Hindering: Creating uneven terrain to slow pursuit, trap or pin enemies in earth, disorient/blow away weapons/enemies, hinder accuracy with wind
Explosive touch: this quirk gives its user the ability to make anything they touch with all five fingers explosive. When this quirk is used a visible orange line begins to spread across the object, wherever the line passed is now highly explosive and if fire is near or is it tapped twice or bumped it will explode. The quirk does not work on liquids however it does work on all solids including animals and humans. The user however is immune to their own quirk. When the quirk is used the affect will transfer to everything touching the originally touched object in a mile radius, meaning that if the user were to touch the floor with all five finger the quirk should spread to everything in a mile radius and essentially create a huge bomb destroying the entire area and everyone in it, luckily the line spreads semi slowly so you have time to run. The downsides of this quirk are, the user cannot willingly turn off the quirk only quirk cuffs or erasure can turn of the quirk, however that does not cancel any current affects it only prevents future ones until the quirk is no longer erased, once an item is touch with all five fingers there is no way to stop the quirk, when the quirk is overused the users hands ache and the user feels exhausted, plus there’s a high likelihood that the explosions from the quirk could have injured the user.
Made this quirk for a new oc of mine Tetsuyo Tsukamoto, he’s on my main blog
Also this quirk is pretty much a mash up of Shigaraki’s decay and Bakugou’s explosions
Mango Maker: the user has the ability to turn anything into a mango. Whatever was turned will stay a mango until the quirk is turned off or if it sustained a large amount of damage in mango form.
RoseVines: the user has the ability to create and control vines with roses at the tips. that kinda explains it all.
Psycho: this quirk is a lot like Aizawa’s except instead of erasing quirks it makes people go insane until you blink.
Third Eye: this quirk gives its user a floating third eye that they have the ability to freely fly around and see through. When quirk is not in use the user simply has a third eye.
Black Horns: this quirk gives its user two black horns that they can change the size of. That’s it but the name really makes sense for the quirk
Angels Feathers: this quirk gives its user large white wings that allow them to take energy from the surrounding area or people and use that energy to heal others or themself. This quirk also lets its user control and sharpen their feathers much like hawks/keigo’s quirk.
Rapid Growth: this quirk allows its user to cause rapid growth to the flora surrounding them. Thats it that’s the quirk
Rat: this quirk gives its user a pair of rat ears on their head along with, heightened intelligence, the ability to communicate with rats, and finally, the ability to become a rat. This is one of my faves
Squared: this quirk gives its user the ability to turn anything into either a square or a Minecraft like square shape. This quirk can work on anything, alive or not. For people in the Minecraft like shape imagine deku during that fake interview when kiri said “hey! When’d he learn to use my quirk!”
Centaur: if you’ve read Percy Jackson just think Chiron, if you have not then here. This quirk gives its user the ability to become a centaur aka half horse half human. But when quirk is not in use its user is stuck in a wheelchair.
Demonic Angel: this quirk gives its user two horns one white, one black, along with two wings and heterochromia to match. It also allows its user to change the emotions of others both positively and negatively, when others emotions have been upped the effected’s strength and luck improves but when worsened the opposite happens.
Black cat: this quirk gives its user black cat ears, fangs, and retractable claws much like a cat, but also cat like agility and even the ability to become a black cat. Meow :)
Pocket doors: this quirk gives its user the ability to create doors to different pocket dimensions whenever they please, though if overused it’s much more likely to accidentally travel to an unsafe dimension.
That’s all the good ones I have but my ask box is open if anyone wants to send me more quirk ideas!
This post took so long to make both cuz of the rainbow letters and the fact that it’s just long
His quirk manifested at 14 while he was acting as a vigilante.
(Quirk: grid light. Can telekineticly create lines of light, they have no effect other than a subtle warmth. Lines can go at various angles and can have different thicknesses. Lines generally stay on surfaces, but they can be made midair.)
Izuku has multiple invisible "tattoos," from his friend Irezumi Kagayaki, that will glow green when he wants it to. He also has the invisible glowing "tattoos" on the irises of his eyes.
Izuku's vigilante outfit is usually dark grays and blacks, with glowing green markings. He has a hood and a face mask.
Irezumi Kagayaki(Quirk: tattoo. User can create pseudo tattoo-like marking on people and objects, the intricacy is determined by the user's conscious effort. User can determine the amount of time the tattoo stays, whether only a few days to permanent. User can also give the tattoo "ink" bioluminescent properties, which the one wearing the tattoo can mentally decide to make it glow or not. User can create with any color they want, even with a "clear" invisible "ink"— invisible tattoos will still glow.)
If you were wondering, yes, I did have the tron legacy ost stuck in my head when I came up with this. More specifically this one:

Sensei was here. He'd come.
The smile spread across his face even as his guts twisted, sending weird gurgling laughs leaping up his throat like bursts of lava before an eruption. But a second later, he clamped a hand over his mouth, buckling over as the laughter turned to bile and he had to swallow hard to keep it down.
He heard Shinsou give him one last tch before heading toward Circuit Board Face's office, shouting, "Silicon-sensei, we need to call Aizawa-sensei!"
"WORKING ON IT," the A.I. voice chirped.
That's right, Tomura thought, I'm at UA.
With the sudden appearance of his master — his guardian, his caretaker — he'd momentarily forgotten his current reality.
This was a hero run, not durge. He was at UA, not with The League. And Sensei was there, not here.
Tomura stood upright again, wiping drool from his mouth with the back of his hand, and saw Kyou staring at him.
Dame da¹.
He looked away. She had that look on her face again. The one she'd worn back when she'd discovered who he was, who he really was. When he'd pinned her down and patronized her, shown her just how naive she'd been and how cruel he was. When her eyes were all he could see, full of fear, full of hate.
"Wasn't the whole point of us coming here," he heard Shinsou grumble from the next room, and he turned his head, welcoming the interruption from his thoughts, "so that we could have a secure connection to him? Why isn't it already established?"
A series of sporadic beeps and static issued momentarily over the room's speakers, then the smooth voice returned. "I CAN MAKE ALINE SECURE IMMEDIATELY IF IT'S INCOMING. OUTGOING TAKES A BIT LONGER. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE."
Shinsou was in the office now, crossing and uncrossing his arms as he glanced from screen to screen behind the computer-like heteromorph.
'What now, Tomura?'
The deep voice sounded unbidden from his memory.
Tomura focused on the chaotic video feed, feeling reality swell into sharp focus around him.
Sensei was there.
And he wasn't.
Tomura could still feel Kyouyuu's heavy eyes on him. He watched the nomu on the screens above his head, watched as shape and sound and color began to swirl into a solid, painful mass. He felt it bulging behind his eyes as the mass grew, pulsing at the inside of his skull.
Now Sensei would know — know for sure — that Tomura wasn't with The League anymore.
Would he think he'd been captured?
No. No, Sensei knows I'm more capable than that.
His grit his teeth, hating himself, as his skull throbbed again. Because not being captured meant that Sensei would know he'd willingly left The League, surrendered his position. The position Sensei had gifted him.
Sensei will know I've abandoned him.
Cold crept from everywhere, a chill so menacing it rooted him to the spot as it clawed its way up his limbs, grasped his throat, gripped his head, covered his face.
What had he done??
He'd made the wrong decision. To abandon all he'd known. All he'd worked for. All Sensei had done for him. And now, Sensei was sending the nomu to help him, determined not to let him fail. But here he was, betraying him...
His vision was gone. His breath came in short shallow bursts.
But wait…
Why would Sensei send the nomu? Kurogiri could've curried them over instantly, the second that All Might had smashed through the wall. But he hadn't. Was it because he couldn't?
The only reason Kurogiri couldn't have brought them, was if…
Was if they weren't there.
Tomura felt as if he were falling through nothing.
Even after all of his work, after all of his meticulous planning, Sensei had a secret backup plan.
Sensei had never trusted him to pull this off, never believed in his plan.
Sensei had moved the nomu without telling him.
"Sensei…"
Tomura heard the honorific fall from his mouth like toxic sludge from an overturned barrel, as the silence began pressing in like a trash compactor.
Sensei always believed I would fail.
The cold was deep enough to drown him. He felt as small as he did on that day all those years ago, barefoot and bloody. Alone.
"…mura…" a hesitant voice echoed distantly, a haunting melody in the void.
Kyouyuu.
He felt his shoulders haunch, his body coiling in on itself, protecting an ache deep in his chest. He grit his teeth again, his groan vibrating throughout his bruised skull.
Where was she?
Why couldn't he touch her?
He needed her touch!
The reason I stayed…
Gentle, steadying, kind.
Her touch made it all...
Better.
She made it all...
Please.
Kyouyuu.
"Make it go away!" he choked.
"Everyone," he heard her call, her voice slicing the air like a saber, "please trust me!"
He heard Shinsou shouting, the AI voice chiming, both deafening.
And then light burst through, so blinding that he tried to twist away from it, except that his wrists were held tight in her tiny grip.
He felt his arms thrust high into the air, and he buried his head into his bicep, groaning and grinding his ear against the noise, his eyes snapped shut against the deluge of his senses all being turned back on at once.
It was painful. And warm. And something other than the cold void.
But the reprieve was short lived because electricity — not a warning shot this time, but a direct hit — coursed through every inch of him, from the soles of his loaned hospital slippers to each hair follicle on his head.
