Dear DSMP watchers -
Do you love the lore of DSMP but dislike having to watch long streams? Do you like how, in DSMP, plot points are pretty scripted but the actual lines are a blend of scripted and improvised? Do you look at SMPs like Hermitcraft and wish there was a series with that quality of building but more lore?
Well, let me introduce you to Empires SMP!
Empires is an SMP with 12 players. It's mostly based on episodes (streams do happen, but aren't lore-focused) with tons of drama and story packed into most people's episodes. The concept of the SMP is that everyone has their own empire to rule over, with its own theme and area of trade. Some players (such as Joel Smallishbeans) are more focused on the building aspect of the SMP, while others (such as MythicalSausage or Geminitay) have both lore (in varying amounts per episode) and building.

We've got weddings! We've got a demon! We've got a guy dating the demon! We've got people getting possessed by the demon! We've got exile! We've got multiple fishfuckers! We've got reincarnation! We've got a romantic date disguised as just a meeting to strengthen an alliance! We've got kidnapping! What's not to love?

I'd personally recommend either starting from the beginning of the series or at least going back a few episodes from the most recent just to get the story a little more, but you should understand it kinda well if you just start from the most recent :P
