When the Doctor carries the story: "Why are there even Companions? They didn't do anything!" When the Companion carries the story: "The Doctor's the main character, not the Companion! Why is everything so WOKE now??" Typical Doctor Who fandom nowadays (or maybe that's just on YouTube, eh?).
What happened at the end of "Flux", when the Doctor Double taunted her with "No more regeneration"? I wondered how they were gonna get around that, but NOPE - meant nothing.
Does anyone get the impression Chibnall's scripts were less a case of "That's the best it can be," and more like, "That'll do" ?
Well, I think that's proof positive that Thasmin WAS a last-minute addition for the New Year's and Easter specials, because it played NO part in Thirteenth and Yaz's goodbye. If you missed those two specials, you'd never even know that aspect was introduced.
Honestly, the Doctor's had more emotional goodbyes with one-off guest stars.

Here is the first installment of my Thasmin saga. I hope you like it and continue on, and any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
My Doctor Who ships (in chronological order):
Ian/Barbara Nyssa/Tegan Amy/Clara Clara/Missy* Doctor/Yaz
Of note: 1) I've only seen the First Doctor's era, part of the Second's, and (obv) all of the Thirteenth's - so there might be (many!) more I haven't decided on yet. 2) You'll notice I only have one ship per character. That's because - and call me a hopeless sap - I prefer couples to be "true love/The One", for lack of better terms. That's why there's no Doctor/anyone-else-but-Yaz - because the Doctor is considered the same person through all incarnations, and I prefer Yaz as the love of their lives (sorry, Rose).
*This is a dark/one-sided/twisted ship: while Missy was clearly obsessed with Clara, in my personal fanon, Clara's love was Amy (sorry, Rory and Danny).
I'm kind of worried about Thirteenth's finale. With Ten, Donna, Tegan, Ace, the Master, New Rose, and whatever else will be there... will there be time to give her farewell the proper time it deserves? All the attention is instead being lavished on the old characters' return. Plus Yaz and Dan have to be given send-offs... I think it's going to be bloated. This isn't even about Thasmin. I think Jodie's goodbye will be lost in the shuffle. I realise the ratings haven't been the best lately, but it almost seems like she's essentially being kicked out the door (an "I don't recall saying good luck" situation) with all this other stuff happening. I hope I'm wrong.

Hello there, everyone.
This is literally my first day (well, night), as a Tumblr poster, so I really have no idea how this works. But I've been a MASSIVE Thasmin fan for years and put alot of effort into a fanfic series chronicling my version of their burgeoning relationship. I realise this might be a really not-cool thing to do (to hawk my wares as it were), but I'd really appreciate it if anyone here who hasn't read it before, to check it out.
