Well done London Borough of Waltham Forest, you have excelled yourselves here!!! Lovely bit of rendering too, glad it matches the expert rendering job on the ground floor extension!

Isn't it illegal to overfill a skip? Do the laws of this country not apply to my neighbour or something??!!
Ugly! Ugly! Ugly! I can't express the dismay I feel when I look at this. It looks like a shanty town heading skywards. All that is missing is the corrugated iron draped with carpet. You buy a house because of where it is and how it looks and suddenly someone decides to stick what looks like a block of flats next door.
Why don't they just build right on top of my house? Rt Hon. Iain Duncan Smith visited this morning to see the mess for himself and he is appalled at what Waltham Forest Council have allowed. He is going to take up my case against them to make sure they don't try to wriggle out of their responsibility. Watch this space! Or should I say lack of it....... 😳
The Abomination next door. The neighbours have now been building the latest 'cut n' shut' to their house. It's looking just as ugly and oppressive as I had anticipated and, of course, true to form does not match the other various additions to this once standard inter-war terrace. How was this ever approved by Waltham Forest Council?
The Light Stealer
The bricks are being laid as quickly as possible it seems. The eyesore that I have had to live next to is steadily getting worse. I really don’t know how the council actually think this is acceptable? When they built the inter war terrace next to mine they left the space for a reason. Now it is being closed in leaving a 6 inch gap. How am I going to be able to maintain the flank wall? I reckon it would be a real sticking point with a surveyor if I was trying to sell but apparently the value of my home is not taken into consideration when passing these things………

The building has started. The neighbour wants to get in quick since he saw in the paper that I have objected. It is totally unbelievable that this man should be able to turn my end of terrace into a mid terrace. I just hope my flank wall will never need maintenance……

So, the saga continues. I have written complaints to the council and now it is time for the ombudsman. Will they see it from my point of view? I have The Rt Hon. Iain Duncan Smith paying me another visit next week to discuss and to be fair, the local Cllrs have been really sympathetic. It seems like the man (or woman!) on the street does not have a voice, we must comply. I will make sure I am heard.....watch this space.....!!!!!
This is what Waltham Forest Council have done to me, their incompetence knows no bounds! Now they have passed yet another build to add to this monstrous house!! I started off living next to a modest end of terrace with a garage, now it looks more like shambles of a block of flats! How can a council even think this sort of development is acceptable?
Beautiful day in London Town!
