Hello everybody, Robert Crawley here. I'm looking forward to interacting with other folks via modern technology... and also figuring out how this thing works
Happy anniversary @therealladygrantham ! I am grateful for every year we share together. Every happiness I have ever experienced in life, I owe it to you. Thank you for being the extraordinary and lovely woman you are
Happy New Year, everyone 🥂
Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas here at Downton
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Although I know the answer to most of these questions, I would still like to join in on the fun: sunflower, tulip, and heather.
Yours lovingly,
Robert
Oh, darling, how sweet you are to play along.
sunflower is sun or moon.
I choose the sun.
tulip is lucky number
While I think it's silly to have a lucky number, I'd say sixteen is an important number for me. It's the date of our anniversary in February and Edith's birthday in September.
Heather is what's your favorite musical?
You know that I am partial to Don Giovanni, even if you are not. You say the end is far too dramatic. Oh, but the music can be felt in one's very bones!
Yours, C
I should have known you would mention Don Giovanni. I do find it dramatically overwhelming at times, but seeing your admiration for it makes it worth seeing every time
Good morning, Your Lordship. I trust your lovely wife is well?
As a point of interest, what are some of the films you and Cora enjoy? Any film stars either of you find attractive? ;)
Hello anonymous sender,
Her Ladyship is doing more than well. Here at Downton, we have been busy decorating and preparing for the upcoming holiday. Most importantly, Cora is elated to see all the grandchildren again, as so am I. So things are wonderful, thank you for asking
To answer your question, we have watched a few films, which not very many to be honest. Cora shows more interest in watching films than me, I prefer to entertain myself in ways I am more familiar with. One film we watched, as it may not come as a surprise, was The Gambler. I suppose it was nice to my beloved Downton Abbey on the big screen along with our staff and hearing Mary’s voice. I will say we enjoy watching mystery films together, as they are rather fun to watch as we make our speculations.
Regarding the attractiveness of actors, I suppose many of them are beautiful or handsome, but I presume that is what film studios look for, well, as I have been told by Miss Dalgleish. But none of them are as lovely as my wife. It seems as if Cora's beauty should be seen on the big screen
Thank you for your message, anonymous sender. Have a good day
Although there is no snow yet here at Downton, the cold weather is splendid around Christmas time
Someone left the door open in the servants hall and Teo must've snuck out. It is now getting late in the night, and she has not returned home. I am getting worried :(
I am happy to announce that Teo has finally returned home! A footman spotted her outside in the garden. She is safe and well and eating lots of treats. Thank you for everybody's help and concerns

Her Ladyship does not approve of unreliable people
May I ask for alstroemeria, ginger, and cherry blossom, please?
Have a good day Your Ladyship!
Dear Anonymous Sender,
Here are the answers to your lovely flower asks:
First, alstroemeria - dream vacation.
His Lordship and I have been fortunate to have travelled to many beautiful places. I think I most enjoyed Egypt, though Florence is very nice, too. I can't seem to convince Lord Grantham to take me to California, but I would love to see San Francisco.
Next, ginger - least favourite food.
Oh this one is easy. I detest salt cod. I also dislike apricots, though they are very pretty on the table.
Last, cherry-blossom - do you believe in love at first sight?
Yes. I do.
I hope you have a nice day as well, sender. Thank you for taking the time to send a note. I hope I've been able to answer your questions.
The list is here if there are others who would like to send a message.
25 Flower Asks
Going to America will always take a lot of convincing. But perhaps one day we can plan a short trip to San Francisco in a few years
Missing you is the hardest thing l've got to deal with everyday.
This is how I feel when Cora leaves to work at the hospital
It's been a while since Lady Grantham last posted. Hope all is well!
Thank you for your concern. I am happy to assure you that all is well with Her Ladyship. Her Ladyship has been working more at the hospital and balancing her busy schedule with her treatment for pernicious anemia. Sometimes she is left tired, understandably so, and rather take a nap than log onto the online world. At other times, she would rather use her energy to enjoy a walk together, which I will never deny her. Either way, she is strong and resilient, and I am very proud of her.
I will inform Her Ladyship of your concern and that others are wishing her well.
Thank you for your letter, take care
The best part of logging on is seeing @therealladygrantham on my dashboard :)
where the fuck would we be without garlic honestly
A lot more better
