[ there was a beat of silence before squiddo heard a players pearl land. the green and purple particles swirled around lomedy as he blinked a few times in front of her. they wobble a bit, leaning on a near by tree and looking around him ]

"Yep ! Well its still a little bit of a walk but yknow much shorter than what we wouldda had to do." | She hums looking around before pointing with an 'aha' sound and starting tone walk | "but anyway yeah ! We'll be there in a jiffy. Like a mini road trip !"

"So anyway ! Lomedy is very nice and I'm sure you two would get... er.. get along decently !! I mean if we can survive each other I'm sure you two can hit it off. Maybe. Kind of. Surely !!- I- OH ! We're here-" | She stops outside the door to Mapicc's house going to knock before pausing and glancing at Redd | "-but like okay think about it okay !! I mean you're gonna have to talk with other people other than customers some time" | And with that she knocks on the door |

"YOOOOHOOO !!! MAPICC !!!!! I have stuff to sellll you !!!"

< Mapicc opened the door hesitantly scared he was gonna find another children on his doorstep. After seeing it was just Squiddo and Red, he sighed in relief. >

“Oh! Hello you two! What brings you two here..?”

I mean, it's not like I have a choice in it. He does sound nice, I see why you like gardening.

[Redd looks towards the door as it opens. He chuckles at the way Mapicc reacts, and his head slightly tilts in curiousity.] Hey, Mapicc. We brought pet fish for you to check out, Squiddo said you were interested in buying some.

"Yesyes ! Fish, clownfish ! I remember you bought Jackson and thought you may be interested in getting a second to make a pair. I mean Clownfish do extradoinarily well with being in pairs some could say heh, it goes, heh, swimmingly" | A laugh escapes her lips at her own joke before she suddenly claps her hands together. | "We also have some fish food available !! Brand new funky flavours and everything !"

“Ohhhh…”

< He just stared at Squiddo with a done face after the “joke” she made. >

“I know what you mean bro! I think Jackson would be very happy if he got a new fish buddy. Also some fish food could help me right now… I think mine is almost running out.”

[Redd gives Squiddo a small glance at her joke then focused back on Mapicc.]

Squiddo can show you the fish while I get you the fish food. [He takes out a shulker and begins to check through it.] Uh...What type of food do you usually get? Or do you wanna check them?

| She doesnt care about the side eyes, smirking to herself all the same. |

"Ah ! Of course !' | She quickly brings out some buckets. | "and are you looking for any pattern in particular or a certain personality ? From what I remember Jackson was a bit of a fighter? Its been a whillee and Im a very busy person so I do forget these details sometimes - but- hmm- we have some more docile kinds and a few more aggressive if you want a fish to match his energy" | She sets up 4 buckets for now, two if fish swim a bit more aggressively, another slowly and lazily, the last seems to be zigzagging everywhere. |

“I usually give Jackson meaty food stuff but i can look at the options!”

< He answered Redd and quickly looked at the four buckets of fish. He was staring at the slow one. He really liked it, it seems. >

“Hmm, yesyes Jackson is a fighter type but i feel like he would wanna get a buddy that’s opposite of fighter. So maybe that one?”

< He pointed at the slowly swimming fish. >

[He looked through the bags of fish food.

All of them sucked, were these even edible for the fish? Not that it mattered. Redd pulled out a couple bags of the food and stepped closer to the two of them, taking a glance at the fish Mapicc was interested in.]

I'm sure they'll get along. Uh...We have beef flavor. Do you want to check another ones for the new fish?

"Ah great pick !!" | She lifts up the bucket, examining the fish before handing it to Mapicc. | "that one's name is Tapir, pretty slow moving he's a cutie though. He enjoys little scratches on his forehead."

"If you wanted to try out some different flavours to what he'd prefer we have some small testing packs with a little bit of each flavour. You can pick up to 5 mini foods flavours give them a bit of diversity and see what they like!"

< He examined the fish closely. The fish looked really cute! Jackson would definitely like this little fella. >

“Awww! How cute bro! What a pretty name also…”

< Then he looked at the food packs Redd and Squiddo pulled out. Were they even healthy for the fish..? Maybe he will pass the food and just take the fish… >

“Uhh… you know… on a second thought… maybe i will pass on the food. I think, the fish is enough..! Yup!”

< He gave a small smile trying to not be rude to both of them. He was sure, if he gave those fishes any of these foods they would have died. It was probably for the best. >

Alright, [He hums while fidgeting with one of the bags on his hand.] You sure you got enough food for both fish, though? Like, you gotta feed two of them now, and I don't know how much Tapir eats.

"And what do you feed them instead then ?" | She puts back the containers, | "Ill have to look at the alternative things to make my own better. I Gotta be the best in the business after all!"

| She thinks she spent far to long watching his farm from her spot on a distant hill. It was… jarring, she supposes. It had been so long since she'd seen anyone, yet alone Lomedy. What could she even say? Sorry for not responding to your note I was stuck trapped in void? No that wouldn't work, she couldn't say. She didn't want to explain, she just wanted to push past it all. Just wanted to forget. |

“Okay just. Just talk to him. Its okay. Its fine.” | And so she forces herself to walk, nails picking at her hands and teeth digging into the inside of her cheek. It'll be fine. Its not like they weren't friends, they just had a small falling out. |

“I- Lomedy!” | She calls out to the farmer in the field, waving awkwardly. |

[ itd been weeks since lomedy interacted with anyone, and longer since he saw squiddo. their fight.. was it even a fight? squiddo didnt seem like she wanted lomedy to stay, letting him walk away and close his door. then it was silence for weeks. he went to her base a couple times, it was empty and decaying by the day. he just guessed she moved.. away.. maybe with someone else. but if she was happy that was all lomedy could ask for ]

[ he did attempt to make contact, leaving a note and his favorite flowers at her door. but they were never touched. they gave up after a while.. moving on.. best he could at least.. ]

oh my god arent you just the sweetest thing..

[ a baby pig oinked happily under lomedy, scratching its head on their leg ]

[ dread. instant dread hit him. he didnt know what to do. which was funny because hed replayed this moment in his head hundreds of times. did he imagine it? wouldnt be the first time he heard voices.. ]

[ turning to the sound, he spotted an unfortunately familiar bright orange blob in the distance, waving at him. all he could do is stare at her ]

| She feels somewhat out of place in the fields as she makes her way towards him... the way he was looking at her, like she was a ghost. It hurt more than she'd like to admit. |

| As she gets close she slows down, and unsure what to say she doesn't speak. So she stands just a few steps away from him, eyes darting from his face to the ground than back to him before she looks off to the side before she forces any words out of her lips. | "I- uhm- Hi... Hi Lomedy... long time no see?" | she offers a small, unsure smile. |

[ he accidentally spat it out. there were too many emotions for him to default to, and anger seemed to be the easiest. so many questions ran through his head; "where were you!?", "are you ok?", "wheres ashswag.", "why here?", "why now?" ]

[ he looked down at the carrot in his hand, picked off a dirty part of it and threw it to his side, a baby pig running after it. looking back at squiddo, they scanned her up and down, as if trying to find the girl he became friends with. he saw her, but he also saw someone else. a changed player under those familiar glasses. something had happened. although.. lomedy didnt know if he wanted to know ]

| Her smile drops for just a second, a look of hurt on her face, and she shifts back on her feet | "I-" | she wills herself not to crack at his tone. | "I got your note and your flower, I just- I just saw them, I wanted to say thank you. I havent had time to come by before and- well- I havent been to my home in a while, but im here now!" | Theres a moment of silence and she forces herself to smile, adjusting her glasses. | "how... how have you been?"

good. ive been good.. nothing very interestings happened... parrots king.. met back up with flame for a bit...

[ lomedy shifts their weight on their other hip, still cautious of her. he wasnt 100% convinced that she was even here ]

wait you just saw them..? what? squiddo, where have you been?

"Oh Well at least it's been peaceful...?" | She swallows at his question, looking away and chuckling awkwardly. She takes an unsure step back, hands working away at some threat on her sweater. | "I- Yeah- Ive been away for a while. Sorry." | She Chews on her lip, eyes still locked on anything but him | "Ive just been gone- I- Its- yeah. Gone. Im sorry, again. I wish I could have told you that Id be missing"

[ lomedys expression softens as he stares at squiddos face, wanting to just jump out and hug her. one of his only friends on the server.. someone who unknowingly got him through so much ]

| He didn't need to continue, she knew what he was going to say. She cringes, body tensing. | "I- ... He's good. I'm lucky he didn't run away or get hurt. His fur was a bit matted but I spent some time brushing it out and washing him. And gave him some nicer food than what he was eating." | A softer smile finds its way on her face at talking about her beloved pet. | "how is your farm doing? It looks really nice. Well- it always looked nice but it looks even better now."

[ a pang of guilt washed over lomedy at the idea of garlic hamster going unkept. maybe if he took him in? would thatve been the right call? they looked around at their farm, the wheat fields bigger then squiddo wouldve last seen ]

ever since the LAW disbanded ive been a lot more free.. parrot asks for wheat a lot so ive started farming it more. hired builders too so the buildings look a bit nicer heh..

[ he fiddles with his sleeve awkwardly, stareing at squiddo, trying to decipher her ]

"LAW disbanded?... Parrot's king??" | She mumbles half questioning to herself, eyebrows furrowing slightly. Gosh she must have missed so much. It felt a bit overwhelming. Beat not to focus on that though! | "I'm glad everything's getting better for you!" | she smiles, meeting his eyes again. | "it looks great, really! I mean- heh- I couldda built better, but yknow, Ill let these amateur builders help you out I suppose." | She chuckles softly to herself, admiring the buildings around her. It was pretty, it's a shame she didn't get to help. She would have loved to help. |

[ lomedy gave a smile to squiddo, but thats smile didnt fully meet his eyes. did she not realize how worried everyones been? how long shes been absent? all of the master builders had no clue where she went. he almost went and asked spoke and mappic what happened, as if theyd have an inkling ]

yeah.. catching up with flame and rekindling with my farmer friends been nice... even made friends? acquaintances? with boosfer and spongs.. been weird honestly

[ it was killing them not knowing what happened to squiddo, how to help, how to show that hes there for her. he could tell something was wrong. he absent mindedly pulled at his sleeve, thinking of what to offer ]

i have a few chores i still need to do while the suns up.. so...

well i have a bunch of pumpkins that need to be put in chest boats to take to merchant city.. and i havent fed my puddle slime in a bit but it seems happy enough. what do you want to do?

"I- yeah I can help with that! Im sure we can make quick work of pumpkins, it'll be lickity split." | She places her hands on her hips | "Oh puddle slime, yeah my slimes. I- Dont really know where they've gotten too if Im honest. I hope they're okay." | she clears her throat. God this was awkward. She needed to push past this. Make everything go back to normal. She just wanted everything to be normal again. | "So- ! Where are these pumpkins we're loading?"

Well- I have the coords to an ender pearl cannon I use to get near Capitol city if you want to take that?"

Now my book of coords is smaller but I still have a lot of things to note." | She hums slightly waiting for Lomedy to get ready. | "I know where one from capitol city to back out here is as well so we can be back quick."

| After a few minuites of silent walking she decides to attempt to make conversation | "So! Have you met Redd before?"

oh! uhh.. no i dont think so. ive heard of him obviously, i used to have friends in capital city back when he was mayor.. but that was ages ago

"I ask because- Well- You aren't ever going to believe this- but he's living in my house. I suppose one could call us roomates but I mean- he isn't like. Permanently there, well he is kind of. We haven't exactly talked about it. But he just. Lives in my house at the moment." | She chuckles just a little at lomedy's misfortune before walking straight into a tree branch. | "owww" | she rubs her nose grumpily saying a few Curses and hexes at said tree before walking around it. | "I also. Don't know when or if he's going to leave but I haven't bothered asking. I've liked the company. Plus he isn't half bad with Garlic Hamster and he's decent enough in the garden to help out.. Gasp ! You two should meet up, Im sure you'd... . Okay. Maybe you wouldn't get along... swimmingly but you could tolerate each other ! I'm sure of it."

".. yeah. Garlic Hamster is happy. He seems happy." | She let's out a small breath, avoiding eye contact as well. Just move on. | "so uhm. Hows. Boosfer and. Spongs? did you say? You mentioned them earlier. What are they like? Are you all close? I know you said they were weird or something along those lines, but that cant be all you have to say about them !"

ohhh.. uhh.. i havent actually seen them around in a while. spongs came by for a bit to help flame with stuff but that was the last i saw of him. guess were just all doing our own things.. going off on our own.. [ lomedy side eyes squiddo a bit before looking out into the horizon, sheilding his eyes in the noon suns glare and squinting ] wait is that the canon?

"I uhm-" | She glances at the spot he was looking | "Ah! Yes ! Yes it is. Yay ! We're here-" | Thank the gods- | "you have an end pearl on you?" | she hums as she somewhat half skips half speed walks to the Canon. | "if not, I have some spares I dont mind you using."

| As she gets to the Canon she checks it over to make sure everything was in order.. although she. Doesn't really know what exactly its supposed to look like.. Ash usually did that. | "it looks all good to use! Im pretty sure anyway."

[ the duo walks up to the underside, the curious array of glass panes and anvils inviting them to throw a pearl up into the mouth of the machine ]

what if is sends me to a huge prison and youve been tricking me this whole time pfft

[ lomedy jokes, chuckling slightly under his breath as he rubs his thumb over the smooth surface of the pearl ]

"Hm? oh, well, 4C built it for us- me. Its so I could travel easily to and from the farlands. I mean, my homes out here, y'know and Ive never been one for walking. . Well, no, thats a lie, I quiet like walking just not millions of blocks walking." | She hums, grabbing an ender pearl from one of her bundles and moving to where it gets thrown. | "hah! What would I possibly get out of putting you in prison? You've not done anything evil. And, anyhow, even if you were evil Id still be your friend. Everyone's a tad evil, can't avoid it." | she throws the pearl and the machine springs to life. | "okay so you just throw it like that, okay? I'll see you in a bit!"

ever since the LAW disbanded ive been a lot more free.. parrot asks for wheat a lot so ive started farming it more. hired builders too so the buildings look a bit nicer heh..

[ lomedy gave a smile to squiddo, but thats smile didnt fully meet his eyes. did she not realize how worried everyones been? how long shes been absent? all of the master builders had no clue where she went. he almost went and asked spoke and mappic what happened, as if theyd have an inkling ]

yeah.. catching up with flame and rekindling with my farmer friends been nice... even made friends? acquaintances? with boosfer and spongs.. been weird honestly

Hey— [He attempts to greet her, it being cut short by him looking at Squiddo again as she rambles. His ear flickers. He barely even listens to her, Jumper was in front of them.]

Yep! [His response to Jumper's question is immediate.] Squiddo here has some clownfish for you. Heard you were interested on getting some, you can take a look at them if you want.

And it shows with how much money he wants to take from these sales" | she shoots him just a small glare |

"Anyway yes! My clownfish. That's what we're here to sell!" | She places her shulker down, rummaging through it to get a few buckets of clownfish out. | "I have a few different ones today. They're really top quality- hand trained and fed and reared and taught and- yknow just everything. Hand everything." | She smiles brightly as she places the buckets down, each one filled with a clownfish circling in its waters. |

< Didn’t know she was that into training fish. She leaned down to look in each of the buckets, watching each fish move through the water. She tilted her head, analyzing each fish’s movement. >

Im sure I have one here that'll fit what you're interested or Im sure I- nono- Redd can introduce you to a few and tell you their names and what they get up too." | She smirks all to smugly at him, he needed to learn the beauty of selling clownfish. And... also... she just wanted to get back at him for everything. |

“Well, Rebecca’s quite shy and sensitive, so I’d like a fish that’s not too energetic. Don’t want to scare her.”

< She studied each fish’s behavior, comparing them to Rebecca and imagining how she’d respond. The first one was way too aggressive. Even if Rebecca wasn’t immediately scared, maybe she’d feel bad about not being as fast. The second fish swam anxiously through its bucket. No- Rebecca wouldn’t be able to deal with the added anxiety. The third fish swam in small circles, darting back and forth, alert and on edge. Too cautious, if Rebecca saw the fish acting anxious around her, she’d think it hated her. No, no not that one either. She looked at the fourth one, hoping she would like it. The fourth one was a small, calm fish. It had two wavy white stripes down its side, the water rippling as it slowly circled through the water.

‘That one.’

She pointed at the fourth one as she looked up at Red. >

“What is this one's name?”

[Redd suppresses a scowl at his business partner and ends up doing a small motion with his head instead. He doesn't turn to look at her at all.]

There should be a fish like that in there, [He responds to Jumper with feign curiousity and continues staring at the fish alongside her as he waits, lightly rocking back and forth in boredom until the client speaks up again.

They let out a hum. Why did Squiddo even have him name the fish anyways?] Zebra. You know, the stripes. [He tries to sound as less awkward as possible, and picks up the bucket to hand it to Jumper.]

We have some more if you're interested in taking another fish to make Rebecca company. I guess the rest of these might not get along with it.

“Sure, I’ll buy him! And I think I’m good with just one for now. ”

"Anyway ! Yes ! Well also have some food if you are in need! We have all kinds of flavours, although I wouldnt recommend you yourself trying them! I regret my decision to do that every day." | She shakes her head as if reliving that dreaded moment before suddenly clasping her hands together. | "so yes flavours ! We have seaweed and seagrass, peppercorn, normal corn, cotton candy, not cotton candy, milk and beef !"

"Id recommend getting two or more packs of the food so when you get to the bottom of one you still have a back up in case you forget to get more ! That's what I always do... unless of course you forget to get another back up once you get to your back up... in which case get three! But then . You might get to the end of the back up of the back up and could have forgotten to get another so get four! But then-"

“Well, Rebecca’s quite shy and sensitive, so I’d like a fish that’s not too energetic. Don’t want to scare her.”

< She studied each fish’s behavior, comparing them to Rebecca and imagining how she’d respond. The first one was way too aggressive. Even if Rebecca wasn’t immediately scared, maybe she’d feel bad about not being as fast. The second fish swam anxiously through its bucket. No- Rebecca wouldn’t be able to deal with the added anxiety. The third fish swam in small circles, darting back and forth, alert and on edge. Too cautious, if Rebecca saw the fish acting anxious around her, she’d think it hated her. No, no not that one either. She looked at the fourth one, hoping she would like it. The fourth one was a small, calm fish. It had two wavy white stripes down its side, the water rippling as it slowly circled through the water.

She pointed at the fourth one as she looked up at Red. >

There should be a fish like that in there, [He responds to Jumper with feign curiousity and continues staring at the fish alongside her as he waits, lightly rocking back and forth in boredom until the client speaks up again.

They let out a hum. Why did Squiddo even have him name the fish anyways?] Zebra. You know, the stripes. [He tries to sound as less awkward as possible, and picks up the bucket to hand it to Jumper.]

No- Rebecca wouldn’t be able to deal with the added anxiety. The third fish swam in small circles, darting back and forth, alert and on edge. Too cautious, if Rebecca saw the fish acting anxious around her, she’d think it hated her. No, no not that one either. She looked at the fourth one, hoping she would like it. The fourth one was a small, calm fish. It had two wavy white stripes down its side, the water rippling as it slowly circled through the water.

She pointed at the fourth one as she looked up at Red. >
