So one of my doggo's was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma (HSA), a type of cancer that unfortunately is very sudden and leads to death. We caught it early but he is projected to only have a few days to a few weeks to live. I will most likely not be posting for a bit, but I will still be reposting and lurkering around ❤
I think Saps is actually a pretty interesting character tbh. He’s fun to psycho-analyse
His whole thing about “deserving” to play on the server is almost like he’s trying to justify why he has to go through all that suffering to begin with. How he and his friends had to fought their way through in order to prove that they’re “worthy” to survive, because to Saps that’s just how things are supposed to go. And since he had survived the harshness, he believes that he and the other old players are worthy of enjoying the server because they are the strong ones.
So when Parrot had made these new rules when he became king, he probably thought it was unfair how the new players were able to have it easy instead of having to fight for it like he did. He believes that through suffering and struggle is what makes him worthy. Without that struggle/natural selection, he would probably think that he didn’t earn it himself. And from his perspective, with Parrot being crowned King, it just made things way harder for him and the other old players when he was managing it just fine with how it was.
A very interesting parallel to Reina’s character I think. Both of them deals with themes of whether they “deserve” to be on the server of not. Reina believes she doesn’t deserve to play on the server because she didn’t go through that harshness. While Saps believes that he deserved to be here because he had survived that harshness. They had both been through grief and had directed that anger towards eliminating what they had perceived to be the cause of the issue. Which makes me wonder what is Sap’s plan after overtaking the throne and becoming king himself. Is this all just a way to unhealthy vent out his grief and anger or did he have more plans for the kingdom?
Should someone believe that they deserve something solely because they had suffered the most? Is there a measurement to how much someone had suffered? Just because times are no longer like how it was for you, does that mean that you should ruin that for the new generation?
Spoilers for Parrot's Latest video & Related to my future design for Parrot HIHI

I REFERENCE WWII IN THIS AND WANTED TO SAY THAT I AM *NOT* SAYING THESE PPL ARE THESE NAMES IN HISTORY I AM SIMPLY USING THESE HISTORICAL REFERENCES TO WELL. REFER.
im an overthinking nerd what else was I supposed to do-
ANYWAYS>>>>
To me Saps is almost like a certain Austrian painter. He fueled the fire of hated and turned it to the new players.
Imo, I think that it would've taken a bit longer for the situation to get this bad if it was just left alone, like, the main issues were food and bandits. It wasn't a glaring thing to look at the new players and go "ITS THEMMM" (Like the persecution of
I wanna bring this back to my talk about relating the whole arc to the 10 stages of Genocide, and I realllly see that Saps is just such a binding factor.
Without him, I strongly believe Cindercrest could fall in a day.
If there are more people like Lomedy, who might be willing to listen, who might be willing to find another way, taking away that factor (Saparata) who keeps THAT side going? You kick out a support beam and the whole thing can crumble
Not all of Cindercrest has a true hatred for the new players. We see that. It's hard, but its still not fully there. Saps made the foundation for people to stand on that the new players need to be massacred. He made the party that sees that as the only solution, and everyone who aligns slightly gets drawn in. You may think that killing all of these new people is wrong, yet you see that this is the only way to fix the mass issue of the server
I just find Saps a reaaalllllyy interesting character because in a lot of ways his character reflects what happened with the aforementioned Austrian painter. Using speeches and talks to command with charisma, making a certain group a scapegoat to fufill all his goals (i have an hc that he doesnt JUST want the new players gone), commanding with that precision that is scarily thought out, but also that slight overconfidence that isn't too much for someone too call out but gives him JUST an edge.
ALSO MAY I ADD
He also isn't bad at being a general lmao like. He told Flame "we need to get the entire army over there, not just you" showing that he thinks a lot more than just his power cards. They have FORMATIONS ffs and he has their RESPECT.
Linking back to multiple points, Saps isn't just the leader because he strong arms it. He GENUINELY has respect from a lot of Cindercrest., and outside of it. He's notorious, he's just the definition of a battle-experienced general to me lmao. I could talk abt this man forEVER
i really really like him as the general of Cindercrest man i reallly do
I think between Saparata and Shoebilly. They always have this front that they are business partners. Everything with them they claim it's all business. If one or the other is hurt, they would be worried but using the excuse that oh well, they are my benefactor, so like if they are hurt, it’s going to be BAD for me.
Which behind close door they treated each other like any other close friends. But because Shoebilly is so ANTI-FRIENDS, Saparata has come up with a new way to approach to him.
Anyway, I do think they care for each other to a point. Saps lowkey likes working with Shoebilly because he listens to everything he asks for and does everything for him. As for Billy, he viewed Saparata as an ATM but also with his code as a mercenary, he also prides himself on providing the best service.
With Saps, he is always composed and calm he never really outright rejects requests unless it’s fucking weird like “Billy, can you wash my feet? " he might just punch Saps, but usually, it's nothing too weird, so he'd do just about anything for him. And Saps is really pleased to have this small minion at his disposal. Bro cooked… bro cleaned, bro did his laundry, and bro's also so good at fighting. It's a win-win for Saps.
There are a few times Saps has seen Billy lose his composure. It is rare, but there is a specific moment, it was when he lost his fight with Wemmbu and came back hurt. ( I might draw this. I MIGHT. But no promises. )
Billy’s moods affect Saps as well. If he's angry and irritated, Saps also would be in some kind of the same mood. Since they are close, if his " business partner " doesn't feel comfortable for whatever reason, he would be bummed about it too.
In the same sense, Sap's mood also affected Billy. If Sap's in an irritated or angry state, he would try to calm him down with food or something he could grab at the moment. It's just not a good idea for both of them to engage with each other when the other is in a bad state of mind, and they know this. They are like professionals bro.
They can read each other like an open book. Sap knows when Billy is in a bad mood he might even know why too. Billy also knows when Sap's lying and being manipulative because he is NOT stupid.
They are literally like partners in crime.
Birds of a feather flock together am I right?
They are the parallel of Theo and Parrot by the way.
i think wemmbu is scared of his own power. ever since he first beat flame in that duel and “proved himself” he stopped caring for pvp as much, even faking his death just to be seen as a normal player. after the law arc wemmbu started living what was supposed to be peacefully until invis guy showed up and kidnapped egg. near the end of wemmbu’s fight with the entire server he said that fighting flame was boring and the fight in general was lame. wemmbu was able to beat the entire server by himself, the army he fought against including the strongest and the best of the best, flame, billy, theo, (+more). after the fight he flew up to the top of the capitol city tower and just looked down at the destruction he had caused. i think he realized what he had just accomplished in that moment. he didn’t stop caring about pvp because hes bad at it, he stopped caring because hes scared of the fact he could destroy the entire server if he really wanted to.
More on: Vendetta Duo // Also I think people do not appreciate them being a duo more? Because I can think of SO MUCH stuff to draw centering around them.
Ps. Sap's isn’t that buff, it’s all the armor, bro.
Flame uploaded and now my brain is psychoanalyzing everything :D
*shakes you through the screen*
The sheer amount of freaking thoughts running through my mind after Flames video is driving me up the wall. I have several analysis's planned bc I cannot express everything here, holy.
*deep inhale*
OKAY! So this episode was AMAZING for me because I adore details, and it was filled with them. FILLED! On top of details that have me shaking with excitement, so many moments that had me reeling.
Chronological ppl! We got a lot to cover! (By a lot, I mean a lot, this is 4 pages worth of yap)
TO BEGIN!
Flame holding double totems. We have seen this before, when he was with the Avengers Squad, and he was constantly paranoid someone was going to trap him or kill him because he was surrounded by ppl who were defiantly not allies. And now he's done it again, even in Cindercrest's ranks, outside of combat or combative zones, Flame holds a double totem.
What does this show? He does not trust Saps, Cindercrest, or anyone in the entire war a single bit. Double totems mean Flame's paranoid, he's not ready for combat, he's ready for survival, very different from his usual attitude towards fighting. Flame built his entire reputation around being the arrogant, self-confident, extremely skilled pvp that he is, holding double totems shows that he's not as confident, that he's on edge.
Next, his first convo with Lomedy, which was him drawing a line in the sand. This- oh my goodness- this is why I adore Torchflower. Unlike the other protags and their best friends, Flame and Lomedy are not two halves of a whole, rather two wholes that came together over a desire for friendship. They do complement each other, yes, but one is not lacking without the other. Lomedy doesn't need Flame's protection, he has a mace and is decent enough in combat to at least escape. Flame does not need a source of food from Lomedy who is a farmer. They both met when they were alone, and the only think they lacked was friendship and someone to show them a different side.
Flame setting boundaries, telling Lomedy he's not just going to follow along as he goes to war, really shows that they aren't codependent, rather two very independent, stubborn individuals who know what they want, but are still willing to sacrifice a bit of that in order to help the other fulfill their wishes and wants. But not their needs. Dare I say healthiest friendship on unstable? (KNOCK ON WOOD KNOCK ON WOOD)
Flame's goal is to become a combat master, it's his overall mission, but he's willing to give that up a bit to protect Lomedy in the Civil War. He's not ditching his goal, but setting it aside for a moment. And Flame telling Lomedy that moment is over shows that yeah, he's selfish, but he's not going to give up his own hopes and dreams. Boundaries are important ppl.
Now for Law, a moment I have been waiting for since FOREVER! Flame's shock that Parrot blew up Law, his confusion on why Parrot would do something so out of character, is part of an overarching theme I want to do a deep dive after Kingdoms is over, bc there is something about this arc, include in Null, of how characters act 'out of character'. For example, Lomedy, Jamato, Wemmbu, Flame, Parrot, I could go on- but how each of them has had moments where people frown and go 'huh, why did they do that?", from both watchers and other characters povs. To Flame, Parrot killing Law seemed out of character, it seemed weird he'd kill, however Parrot is known for his preemptive planning, for being one step ahead, and for really, really wanting to protect the server. Desperation and the feeling of powerlessness can push people to their limits, never underestimate the lenght one will go.
Slightly out of order- but also how Flame sees himself losing everything because of the war, friendships, a base, alliances. This Civil War, and Null, really show the cost that conflict brings, how nothing is clear cut or glorious. It's really, really freaking messy, and every side is justified to some degree, but the lengths they go always have people shaking their heads.
Anyways, next up is Highwater, and two main things I will be focusing on here. A) Flame's realization that Lomedy was involved in a death charge and B) His talk with Lomedy at the end of Highwater.
A) Flame hearing that Lomedy was involved in a death charge, surviving only by chance, showed Flame that Saps does not CARE about his people, only for victory. This contrasts Parrot, bc Flame knows Parrot deeply cares about the people on his side, and this sharp contrast no doubt helps Flame to switch sides later on.
B) FLAME HAS GROWN AS A CHARACTER AND ITS BEAUTIFUL TO SEE!!! ALSO LOMEDY'S FARMING FRIENDS DIED?!?! FROM STARVATION!??! I'm sick.
Flame realizing that he's not perfect and being okay with that is peak character development, because no longer is he desperately holding onto a position of power that demands perfection in the form of being unbeatable, but he's willing to make mistakes, learn what he did wrong, and correct that. He didn't leave Lomedy to go fight in a war, no, he came along to ensure his friend was safe, but made it known to Lomedy that he wasn't devoted to the cause and only wanted to fight to get better at combat, not be a weapon.
Lomedy being pushed to join Cindercrest bc his friends starved to death!? He wasn't there for them, and they DIED, and he was with Flame, having fun, and they DIED! I think Lomedy was looking for someone to blame. He couldn't blame himself without self-destructing, he couldn't blame Flame after just forgiving him, and then Cindercrest hands him an excuse on a silver platter and Lomedy RUNS with it. He's such a fun character omg, and he's a million times more complex after this. I love it.
AND SPONGS IS HERE NOW!?! AND THERE WAS A MOLE?!? CONQUINCIDENCE?! I THINK NOT! Spongs is the mole. I'm running with that. Silly little theory lol.
The scene at the Northern Council was freaking amazing. Flame being so willing to skip all the theatrics of politics and just kill everyone? AND THEN PARROTS FREAKING VOICE ACTING!?! I'll defiantly go more in depth on this when Parrots vid comes out, but holy cow, such an amazing scene. Parrot has tried to do his best, but nobody is letting him actually fix the problems because they keep making more!! He solved the starvation problem at spawn so easily, give him another 100 days and a good portion of his kingdom would be feed and bandit free!
Parrot is not beating the martyr complex allegations man, what do you mean he was willing to let Flame and Lomedy kill him?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN!? PARROT!! Theo stepping between Parrot and torchflower had me shaking with joy. Defend your king Theo, protect this wet cat of a bird.
GUESS WHAT DUO'S NOT DEAD IN A DITCH!!
PHOENIX DUO HAS RISEN FROM THE ASHES BABY LETZ GO!!
Imperial fire and justice duo are very much dead tho....yeahhhhh Power Arc Wemmbu is back. But he's got a better excuse for bombing everyone this time! STILL NO EXCUSE FOR NOT COMMUNICATING WHATS GOING ON THO! Seriously, if he just told anyone Egg was in danger, no doubt they could piece it together. Flame should be able to put two and two together, but he's not the puzzle solver okay? And he's been busy with a war and protecting Lomedy, man has other priorities.
Oh and one thing about LettuceK! The extra scene of him talking to the players while Saps held him at the minecraft equivalent of gun point?! That tells me that Lettuce is either not a trusted advisor in Saps ranks, but rather a hostage or Saps realized that Lettuce doesn't support his idea as much as he thought he would. Either way, very interesting Lettuce had to be FORCED to give that speech. And his speech? Never referenced Saps or Parrot, he told the crowd to fight for who they believed in, and we see that with Parrots army, the fight against Wemmbu and Cindercrest is chaotic, with some of Parrots soldiers fighting against Phoenix duo.
Theo and Flame bonding over annoying elytra macers had me giggling, we need a duo name for them, maybe Pyromaniacs or sm. I loved this moment.
Speaking of annlying elytra macers, Flames POV really showed how weird Wemmbu has been through the entire war. They didn't speak in Highwater, they were bantering in Steam Punk, then Wemmbu attacked ShoeBilly later on and they fought outside the Cave Kingdom, and then Wemmbu nukes Capital City and calls the fight boring. I TO WOULD BE VERY CONFUSED ON WHERE I STAND WITH SOMEONE AFTER THAT!
And his voice! Wemmbu's voice is so stupidly similar to what it was when he forfeited the title of Strongest. It's dejected, accepting- there is no fight behind his voice, none of his stubborn fighting will. HES SO FREAKING DETACHED FROM ALL THIS IM GOING INSANE!! There will be an analysis on Kingdoms Arc Wemmbu, you can count on that.
Villain Parrot? Villain Saps? Villain Flame? Who cares, War Criminal Wemmbu is back in full action /silly
Final thing, final thing trust.
Torchflower duo's splitting up.
It's actually probably the best thing for them to do, and once again, the healthiest option that a duo has made in a LONG time. They have acknowledged that they have different goals, different objectives, and being together only hinders their wants rather than helping. They are still going to remain friends, but they won't be together every waking moment. Once again, they are two independent wholes who came together, two wholes that can seperate anytime they want and still feel fulfilled. I'll miss them and their shenanigans, but Flame finally being able to go back to being solo, not having to worry about protecting someone, and being able to trust his gut without outside opinion will help him become a combat grandmaster.
It's not a goodbye, it's a see you later.
HOLY YAP I TALK TOO MUCH
IF YOU READ ALL THIS, PLS GO GET A DRINK OF WATER AND A SNACK, TY :DD
flame not understanding why wemmbu is doing the things hes doing/getting mad at him for acting against his own interests is so funny. brother you were standing right next to him when his new boss won his best friend at an auction. i feel like these two dots are not that difficult to connect.
