The last damn quote ruined the entire book for me 😭

I mean, it was obvious that Kai felt something for Paedyn from the beginning of the Purging Trials... And knowing all that, how can a person be such a damn idiot to marry a person you know your brother is in love with?!

I've read Kitt's point of view and his willingness to save Ilya, but there were definitely more Ordinaries like Paedyn out in Ilya, so why couldn't Kitt marry any one of them? Yes, it is rare, because during Edric Azer's reign, he killed most of them, but like Paedyn, it is totally there.

After Kitt mourned for the father Paedyn killed, how did he change within, like, weeks, and married her? Knowing the entire kingdom hates her?

I'm sorry but this plot is extremely complicated and I did not like this part of the book.

What are your thoughts? Can you please share? I'd love to know what others think.
