I love the progression of Piper and Henry's relationship as they get older. There's an age where the younger sibling starts to grow up and the older sibling starts seeing them as their own person and an almost-peer. We see Piper get just old enough.

Consider Birthday Girl Down, where Henry says something along the lines of "Piper was upset about her phone, as usual", and I think he's literally dragging her by the hand. Or another S1 episode where she says "I'm not okay!" and Henry is like "you're never okay!" And he loves her, but is very over her behavior + the reaponsibility put on him, and she's so small and he's so big.

Compare that to Grand Theft Otto, where Henry strolls over to ask what she's doing, and seems genuinely impressed by how much attention her sad selfies are getting. On the flip side, there's a tiny moment in Broken Armed and Dangerous where Piper says "Also, maybe change that sweatshirt sometime, cowboy", which, instead of her brattily screaming for his attention, is said plainly. She's not making fun of him to other people or humiliating him, it's just a comment, it might even be caring, and it puts them on equal footing.

Of course, she still plays the bratty little sister card. I love their moment in Double O Danger when she's like "waiter, where's my drink?" and Henry's face as he goes, "you're so... 😤" which, tbf, he did say he was a waiter! I also find it interesting that as Henry's day-to-day responsibility for Piper decreases, Piper's day-to-day responsibility for him (and their family) increases. Just who is protecting who?

This moment warms my heart, honestly. Ray understands that Henry must be feeling a lot of conflicting things right now, between the “death” of Kid Danger (who he’d been for years), him getting his new superpower, and the decision to move to Dystopia hanging over him. So when Ray makes Jasper give Henry space and stop bugging him (even though he was just being friendly), it made me smile. Ray cares deeply for Henry, and he noticed that Henry seemed a little overwhelmed by everything and made sure Henry wasn’t being pestered too much. Longer post, I know, but I just love this scene.
