Public Serice Announcement (at Dogpatch, San Francisco)
I'm here. (at Dogpatch Barber and Shave)
Time to make it count... (at Dogpatch Barber and Shave)
Because if you're gonna announce something, it might as well be done hilariously. Using OKC to post my website around more places because Stone Cold said so.
Bringing back that '90s middle part aka Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World aka the Nick Carter special!
It's been 2 and a half years since @crevm cut my hair, and well over 5 since I let @hairdesignbytess practice. But, it's about time to get rid of this shit!!! Not going straight back to a pompadour quite yet, but fuck it. Bye bye long hair!!! Hahaha
Before the day is over, I want to thank @jenmalfoy for continuing to send me another holiday card with her own art on it. The fact that I'm still in consideration for such gifts, let alone one that shares ones art, is a gift in its own. As the holiday season was drawing near, many people told me that they were using Amazon for gift shopping and wrapping. Not that there's anything wrong with that by any means, but it's even less personal than buying through Amazon and gift wrapping it yourself. The imperfections of gift wrapping is your fingerprint for this holiday. Choosing the wrapping paper that is suitable for an individual and their gift, trying to line up the edges just right but still managing to be 15 degrees off, and various sizes of scotch tape. Little details that no one else would notice, but you do as you wrap gifts yourself. Thanks again! I really do appreciate it.
10-9 is donezo! Big thanks to all of my clients that kept me booked throughout the whole day. Time to enjoy the Christmas weekend!
I'll be taking the following Saturday off, so get in on Christmas Eve. Thanks!
Never ending supply of sewing supplies.
One of the things I enjoyed most about having my blog... Artists appreciating my appreciation for their work, never would I have thought that they would pay attention let alone notice my site. But it's been awesome over the years. A lot of opportunities and missed opportunities, a lot of friendships, and the list goes on. No matter how many times I say it, I'll always mean it... I appreciate it.
Well folks, I've made some tough decisions in my days, but none tougher than this... For the time being I'll be stepping away from my post at Dogpatch Barbershop. Since the start of my career working alongside with @crevm and @corneliusthebarber has been the best experience ever. I've seen what the highest echelon of barbering was and knew exactly what I wanted to work towards. Granted, I'm far from it, but it's still my goal! Having been given the chance to be around that again was something I couldn't pass up, even if for a little while... But, sometimes real-life forces your hand and you have to fold. So for now, I'll be back to working in Belmont full-time until further notice. I can't thank Chris and Corn enough for allowing me to cut alongside them and be a part of the team. It's been one hell of a year and I wish I were there to continue on. But for now, I gotta work on a different chapter of this story...
Big ups to @joeepropa for that real real. Funny thing talking to a client today about video games -- they asked me if I grew up playing the Nintendo or the Super Nintendo. Definitely know all about that life the pin/sticker on the right is about. Kids won't know about that struggle. #popitbackoutandblowitagain #thatswhatshesaid
#flashbackfriday to the very last time I had my haircut! Almost to the damn date, too! Having maintained a pompadour for the 5 or so years prior, changing things up wasn't the worst thing that could happen. And by maintaining I mean literally the exact same haircut with very minor/minute changes (slight changes in the taper) other than that... Same thang!
Argh... I'm a pirate.
