Emmoniromantic (emmoni-romantic) is a term on the aromantic spectrum that describes individuals who confuse their intense fixation on someone with romantic feelings but after this fixation fades away, they realize they weren't truly in love. Some individuals may choose to call it 'obsession' or 'limerence'. It can be used as a tertiary identity or romantic orientation on its own or alongside with flutter attraction and/or pseudoromantic.
Emmoniaromantic (emmoni-Aromantic) is a similar term for those who don't experience any other kind of 'romantic' attraction.
This term is exclusive to neurodivergent individuals who can develop a hyperfixation on someone or great passion for their 'X person' (attachment figure; can be referred to as 'favorite person', 'safe person', 'chosen person', etc.). It can be used by those who are formally diagnosed, self-diagnosed or questioning but not transabled people and the like.
Below the cut are disorder-specific versions of the flags, their meaning and related terms.
The term comes from the Greek word 'emmoni' (fixation, obsession, perseverance, persistence). The colors don't have any distinct meaning behind them as they were essentially taken from aromantic and the aromantic spectrum flags. Curved lines symbolize struggles with figuring out one's attraction; dull colors indicate fading attraction; and the broken heart represents a revelation about the true nature of their feelings. The heart was inspired by the symbol from this page. You may edit the flags however you like; no need for credit.

Someone on the aromantic spectrum who experiences intense spikes of limerence, but not love, for a period of time before returning to their original identity. The spikes in limerence may or may not be triggered by feeling other forms of attraction towards an individual.
This term is considered a subset of arospike and pseudoromantic.
While the emotions from limerence are directly associated with falling in love or being madly in love, they are usually to an overwhelming and potentially harmful degree for the one experiencing it. The desire to have their own emotions returned by the object of limerence (ie. target of limeric desire) are usually high enough that there may be noticeable changes to one's usual behavior, outlook on life, opinion of their own actions/looks, and future life goals. These changes are usually, but not always, tied to the opinion and reactions given by the object of limerence, whether explicit, implied, or interpreted.

One may consider themselves to be arospike prior to or alongside this label, depending on their previous relationship and/or attraction history. A limerespike individual experiencing limerence for the first time will likely assume they are experiencing alloromanticism before returning to their original arospec identity and reflecting on the experience.
Note:
-It is important to understand that limerence is determined by the affected individual making changes to their life in efforts to gain reciprocation from the other party, with their emotions being abnormally high or volatile, while making personal decisions that they base on the other party's reaction. The explicit, actual reaction by the other party is not a factor of determining limerence, though perceived appreciation of drastic changes and lenience on one's own boundaries may result in a worsening or prolonged effect on the one experiencing limerence, and could result in dangerous situations occurring or becoming worse over time.
--It is also possible for someone experiencing limerence to "recover" by recognizing the situation and taking steps to correct it, before then be able to have a healthy relationship of their choosing with the object of limerence. This usually takes time and emotional conditioning. For an arospec individual, this may result in the two just being friends, being queerplatonic, or engaging in a romantic relationship, while practicing a safer emotional distance/dynamic.
