Peace and quiet. Two sounds I rarely experience in my head.
Lately, however, peace and quite have been all that’s ringing. The sound of bliss without ignorance. The sound of goals reached and more being set. The sound of contentedness.
I’ve finally managed to eliminate the toxic people from my life: the ex-girlfriends, the missed boats, the smile thieves. I’ve surrounded myself with what I love: friends, family and professional wrestling.
Not a day goes by that I don’t feel grateful for those two changes. These days, this much is certain: there is no time to be wasted. Those that do not benefit my life will not be a part of it. Period. But don’t twist those words! To the friends I have not seen in forever: you are still loved. I do my best to see who I can when I can, but ultimately my priorities are straight for the first time in a long time. I must maintain that focus and I will continue wishing you all the best.
Going out for a beer sounds great, but so does building a better business. Rolling a fatty and watching a funny movie would be awesome, but so are road trips and meeting my childhood idols on a business level.
I am a part of the world I once pressed my face against the outside glass of. I am a piece of the professional wrestling puzzle and that pride is what has driven me to become a better person and reach goals I once thought far fetched.
Fun is fun but passion is exhilarating. I hope one day you all find your passion. I hope you all get to reach out and grab it the way I have been fortunate enough to. But most importantly, I hope one day you all find your peace and quiet.
