Of Priests And Angels
“It’s not an issue, Sam. You sought refuge in my home and I granted it.” he said calmly before scowling at Balthazar. “We are happy to help, aren’t we?” he asked and Balthazar scowled at Castiel but relented, giving Sam a warm smile.
“Yeah, just don’t freak out, but we’re Hunters, so…. Figured we’d be clear that we do that, but you two are, uh…. You’re good. Clean.” Balthazar nodded before turning and stalking away to the kitchen, too awkward to stick around.
“Don’t mind my idiot brother.” hesaid casually.
Sam looked over at Dean, and Dean helped his brother sit up more, before Sam shrugged his shoulders toward Castiel and Balthazar, blinking his eyes at Balthazar’s comments, opening his mouth to respond, but then he’d left the room, Dean sneering after him.
“As long as you ignore mine.” Sam rolled his eyes, reaching out to weakly hit at Dean’s arm. “Dean, uh, explained the situation you guys are in with us,” He spoke slowly, but everything he was saying made sense, so it didn’t matter. “And I know he got all the proof he needed, but you sure ‘bout this?”
“Sam, this is as much our world as it is yours. Your father may have made it, but we inherited it, so to speak. Now most of the civilization is kind of making a mess of it, but we would not be given the knowledge we have if he didn’t wish us to have it.” Castiel smiled sheepishly and shrugged. “I’m going to protect my home with everything I have, till my last breath leaves my chest and my soul leaves this realm. Till then, you’re stuck with me.” he said calmly and crossed his arms.
