Right now there are millions of people sitting at home on their computer or looking at their phone wondering what movie to watch or which app to go on but maybe before you make those decisions take the time to sign these petitions. It only takes a few seconds to do which I’m sure everyone can spare at this time. Fighting for justice and equality is a team effort! You need to do your part. You might think that when you click the button to sign the petition that, that click won’t change anything, it will.

Change only happens when we do what we say we will do. I’m tired of this never ending cycle where something tragic happens and we talk about it for weeks and weeks. Then all of sudden the world gets tired of talking about it and we sweep it under the rug. Then a few months later that same tragedy happens again and we go back to talking about it for weeks and weeks. For once maybe, just maybe we can break that cycle and actually do something about it! So go sign those petitions, go to those protests and protest peacefully but assertively, annoy all the politicians and get them to make new laws. Go vote when there is an election, vote out the people who call themselves politicians, who are doing absolutely nothing for the people but amplifying the hate and chaos that we are seeing. Donate if you can to the many causes that are out there. Do your research about the events taking place and why people are talking about them. Reflect on your own opinions and biases and try to understand why you think the way you do and change those opinions and biases if you feel it is necessary, but also try to understand why other people may not see things the way you do. Maybe those people need you to teach them what you know so they can change, but if they refuse to change their way of thinking then don’t waste your time and energy. Become more aware of you surroundings and what’s going on. And stop being silent! Silence does nothing, i get that it is hard to raise your voice, people may try to tear you down and try to strip away your voice, but go ahead and say what you want to say anyway (unless it’s is offence.) Silence is something that I have to work on myself. I usually don’t post or talk about the issues this world is currently facing but I know this is something that I have to change. I have to start becoming loud, instead of staying quiet.
