Bitzer is the latest typeface by James Plattner, now available on Future Fonts. First introduced as a preliminary version in September 2024, it has since evolved into a stable 1.0 release, featuring 64 styles, including a variable font.

An exploration of Latin flat-brush calligraphy, Bitzer selectively follows and breaks traditional rules. It balances modernity with reliability, offering a design that feels distinctive while drawing from classic forms.

KF Zuka is a sans-serif typeface designed by Tor Weibull and published by Kanon Foundry in 2024.

It is a modern reinterpretation of Züka-Schrift, created by Swiss calligrapher and type designer Walter Käch for the 1947 Zürich Canton Trade and Agriculture Exhibition, where it was used for wayfinding and title signs.

The typeface family, mastered by Sebastian Carewe, features 16 cuts, additional glyphs, various figure sets, currency symbols and arrows, ensuring versatility across diverse applications.

It is also available as a variable font and supports up to 220 languages.

Lay Grotesk is a contemporary sans-serif typeface designed by Massimiliano Vitti and published by Due Studio in 2021. Inspired by iconic grotesks like Helvetica, Neue Haas Grotesk and Folio, Lay Grotesk combines the neutrality of Swiss typefaces with a softer, more refined character.

Gela is a bold, retro typeface designed by Lewis MacDonald and released by Polytype Foundry in 2021. It explores mixed contrast approaches, striking a balance between harmony and variety while embracing the playful discord of a fluid angle of stress.

Partly inspired by the funk and flair of 1970s typography, Gela blends naive, blobby forms with confident, incised details, all radiating a laid-back attitude.

Designed by Eliott Grunewald in 2024, Harry is inspired by a typeface with the quirky name Too Much, created by Bill Seifert in 1974 for the Visual Graphics Corporation (VGC) type foundry. This typeface emerged alongside the better-known Frankfurter, initially designed by Bob Newman for Letraset.

At the time, Too Much was positioned as an alternative to Frankfurter, offering a more contrasted design exclusively in uppercase and featuring unexpectedly distinctive letterforms. Harry remains faithful to the original while refining its weights, curves and proportions to deliver a contemporary take on the classic design.

RL Aqva is a vibrant, single-style typeface designed by Radek Łukasiewicz in 2024. With its cheerful personality, it seamlessly blends modern graphic sensibilities with historical influences, drawing inspiration from iconic humanist typefaces and the golden era of #phototypesetting.
