CAMPAIGNING LIKE ITS 2000 [open]

Why why why why had she decided to do this?

When Bianca saw that no one was running for President, she felt compelled to sign up, maybe it would help her feel more confident and make a real difference in the school.

Now she felt like an asshole for even assuming she could do it.

She sat feeling a little dejected at a table she had set up in the commons area. A neon yellow poster with glitter letters and sequins stated "Vote for Bianca for President!". In front of here were homemade chocolate cupcakes with "VOTE BIANCA" lettering in icing and some flyers and stickers she had made featuring her in a dramatic pose with the words "VOTE BIANCA! SHE'LL MAKE ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE".

Bianca thought that slogan had been a good idea at the time, but judging that no one has approached her, she was starting to rethink it.

Of course Hilbert flew back after being punched in the face (cue nose bleeding). "Why does that always happen when I talk to you?!" he muttered and got back up. His nose was still bleeding but thankfully it wasn't cracked. "You should join martial arts, you'd be pretty good at punching em'" he said holding his head back.

It took Bianca approximately 3.4 seconds to realize that she had just punched one of her old friends in the face.

"Hilbert??? Arceus I'm so sorry!! You scared the lights out of me!!" Abandoning her attempt to pick up the pile of books and papers, Bianca rifled through her bag to see if she had anything to help stem the bleeding. "I'm really so sorry, but I've just been so jumpy lately, my nerves are completely shot."

All she could produce was two crumpled tissues and an errant band-aid. She held them out to Hilbert, feeling guilty for almost knocking him out of his socks.

"Bianca!" the excited younger boy jumped from behind Bianca and messed with her hair. He was thankfully taller than her, he brightly beamed at the blond girl before him. "How's my favorite blond?" he asked excitedly. He hadn't chatted with Bianca for a while.

Off in her own world, Bianca of course didn't hear Hilbert come from behind her. She was off in la-la-land dreaming of the delicious milkshakes she'd soon be devouring.

But all of that changed when the Hilbert nation attacked.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

The sudden surprise of having someone jump out at her then ruffling her hair caused her to scream and her fight-or-flight instinct to kick in. She reared back and punched as hard as she could in a panic.

The initial move from Unova was difficult for Bianca. It was hard enough to get her parents use to the idea of her working part-time as an assistant to Professor Juniper and going to Nimbasa University. The fight that ensued when her father had learned she was traveling all the way to Kalos to pursue her dreams of becoming a Pokemon professor almost succeeded in deterring her from going.

But here she was, arms laden with textbooks and papers that wouldn't fit in her already full backpack, smiling like she had just found the keys to heaven.

Then she tripped and spilled those papers everywhere. Arceus help her.

"Great going Bianca...just hope no one saw me..." she murmured to herself.
