Little Spinner vs Microwave
Featherweight Demonstration at GSL 2014
Some awesome hits in a hobbyweight fight at Motorama 2013!
Atttition vs Flat Line
Two impressive featherweight spinners fight it out in Australia in Ipswich at the Robowars Nationals.
Mr Mangle vs Decimator
Newton and Anvil fighting in the first round of the beetle weight competition at Stevenage last weekend, some nice destruction.
Things have changed a bit :D
ROBOT WARS!
I LOVED this show to pieces as a kid, like youāve no idea at all how hyped me and Sarah were when we saw these, WE DIDNāT KNOW THEY WERE SO HUGE. They really made being soaked to the bones and inside that stuffy building well worth it.
Oh I canāt tell you how delighted I was to see them ^-^!!
you should see the live shows, my friend owns (not the original builder) Dantomkia now. LOTS of shows in Europe, several competitions. You bet theyāre huge - 220lbs!Ā In the US we had an even bigger weightclass, 340lb super heavyweights. Walking superheavyweights could weight 480lbs!Ā
Britain has tonnes of events nowadays, you should come along. Super heavies are impressive but I always have to prefer the feathers!
Well done, everyone who participated in the FW UK Championships 2014! It was a fantastic half of a week.
Congratulations to:
UK Champion: Beauty 2 (for the third time)
Second Place: Beauty 8 (another second for Will)
Third Place: Rango (great newcomer)
Gladiator Champion: Wedgie! (Yes, me. I won the Gladiator. Congratulations me.)
Annihilator Champion: Tiny Toon (for the fourth time)
and to all who matched or exceeded their expectations this event.
My old bots are managing very well today. Two fights in for each of them the results are encouraging, Cyberon, the pushbot, has secured two second places in fights of three, and Wedgie, the flipper, has won its two fights by knockout. Fantastic performance so far. Wedgie had its door whacked in, Cyberonās wood got a little cut up and so did its scoop, but itās nothing a suitably big hammer canāt deal with.
The Featherweight UK Championships are underway! We will keep you informed on any drastic reductions in size as a result of spinner damage.
Minion vs Codebreaker from Battlebots season 5. Super Heavyweights were always cool to see, Minion was one of my favorites every season. He gets pretty beat up here though.
Why don't you post Robot Combat League?
Because Robot Combat League is not real. People are freaking out going āOmg this is the start of robot combat as a sport! Itās finally a thing!ā Itās been a thing for decades. But what is new is staged robot combat like what you see in Robot Combat League. The damage from each hit in that show is completely disproportionate to the force of the blow. Any real roboteer will tell you that just one of those big, fiery, spark filled hits would put a robot out of action in real life. The robot operators and their backstories on Robot Fighting League are nothing like those of real roboteers. The show is made to be more glamorous than real robot fighting; and more similar to boxing. I can tell you, the best design for a fighting robot is no way a humanoid one. My 15kg little robot could slaughter one of your precious Robot Combat League show robots in quick time. I donāt know how anyone takes that show seriously; itās like the WWE of the robot fighting world.
UK Championships 2013 combat montage!
Built an antweight wedge - because I was bored.Ā Being bored creates wedges - donāt be bored.
Fantastic fight in Brazil at the Winter Challenge 2013.

I donated to this. If you are a Battlebot or Robot Wars fan, maybe you found robot combat later when it was Combots Cup and other competitions.Ā either way, please support this. They only need 10K and that's going to renovate their arena.
All of the non-insect class robots fighting on the first day of the Combots Cup back in October 2012.
