If you have accounts like Facebook and Google +/Gmail, or any app that requires permissions to read & write your surface settings, then this is why it happens. Your default settings for location and other permissions (mic and camera) are enabled for constant read-write.

What does this mean?

You can toggle your permissions for these apps for conditions like Never or While Using App. Keep in mind that if you have apps opened up in the background of your phone, then you’re technically using them. Make sure to close them out completely when you don’t want to use them.

But why?

When you have your location permissions enabled for apps, this data is collected and used for targeted marketing. Google is the biggest offender.

Pokemon Card of the Day #1946: Chandelure (Phantom Forces)

Chandelure was similar to Gengar-EX in that it relied on being tricky instead of hitting for big damage. This time, the trick wasn’t switching out, but instead spreading damage counters around. This meant that Chandelure wasn’t nearly as safe, and it was also stuck trying to do this as a Stage 2. Those were big problems, though it did have something in its back pocket that could really change things in its team’s favor if it worked.

Chandelure’s 130 HP was a little low compared to most Stage 2 Pokemon. It was a bit more vulnerable to boosted attacks than many others like it, and since it was meant to be Active much of the time it couldn’t avoid attacks very well. The Weakness to Darkness was most notable against Yveltal and the later Zoroark, as Pokemon-EX didn’t like to take Chandelure head-on. A Fighting Resistance, on the other hand, was always nice, as it cancelled out at least one source of extra damage. Chandelure did also need 2 Energy to Retreat, though Mystery Energy was a possible help here and Chandelure didn’t tend to switch out much in the first place.

Fainting Spell was one of those Abilities that would either make a huge impact or do nothing. If Chandelure was Knocked Out by damage from an opponent’s attack, you flipped a coin. If heads, the Attacking Pokemon was also Knocked Out. This was absurd, as it was all about luck and Chandelure could just take a free Prize or two and make trades that were favorable if the opponent didn’t have a good non-EX attacker. Then again, the flip could be tails, and nothing out of the ordinary would happen. Other than the late BCR-On Hypnotoxic Laser play there wasn’t too much playing around this, meaning that you’d likely just turn parts of the game into a series of coin flips.

Cursed Drop put things in your hands, at least, though placing 6 damage counters for a Psychic and 2 Colorless Energy was quite poor. You’d really want Dimension Valley for this. Being able to place those 6 damage counters in any way you wanted was nice if there were weak Pokemon on the opponent’s Bench, at least, so it could have some nice moments.

Chandelure wasn’t that good as it didn’t do much damage at a time and fell rather easily for Stage 2 standards. Nobody would want to face it, either, since a string of heads flips could just win it the game without much thought. The result was something that wasn’t the most interesting to play, but access to Fainting Spell made it worth noting. As odd as might sound, Lampent was the better Pokemon of this line.

Because of COVID a lot of the other MAs and I have had to find uh…*creative* resources for book finding and one of the best websites I’ve found is something called Z-library and Library Genesis.

I’ve never had a problem with finding books on either website. Sexual Behavior of the Human Male is available on Z-library. I’m trying to find The Words of Cesar Chavez but I’m not having luck right now! But happy book hunting!

Other places you could look is Project Gutenberg! It’s literally the best place to find books. The Internet Archive also has a lot of resources available, too, like issues of The Savoy, The Yellow Book, and many more.
