Rebloging this to add a little more info because it’s very important:

Antiretroviral therapy when used correctly can cause the user’s “viral load” (your viral load is how much of the virus is in your bloodstream), to drop because the medicine prevents HIV from creating copies of itself.

Regular blood tests are done to monitor your viral load, and after taking the medication long enough, it can drop so low that it becomes “durably undetectable”. This means that the HIV virus in you has become so miniscule that it can’t be detected, and by extension can’t be transmitted either. It’s important to note that in order to be considered durable undetectable, you MUST test as undetectable for at least 6 months after testing as undetectable for the first time.

Also very important, being durably undetectable does NOT mean that you’re cured or that the virus is gone, not by a longshot. The HIV virus is still very much there, but instead of being active, it’s gone dormant in a small number of cells called “viral reservoirs”. This why it’s EXTREMELY important that even after achieving durably undetectable status, you continue to take your Antiretroviral medications correctly. Because if you stop, the HIV virus will reemerge from the viral reservoirs and pick up right where it left off in creating copies of itself, and you will have to start all over again if you want to become durably undetectable again.

Help a Two Spirit guy start over in a new state & reconnect with my roots!

Happy New Year to everyone—may life bring health, happiness, and success to you & your loved ones! I have spent the past 2 years struggling to make ends meet in a city that has been less than kind to me including some of the worst workplace abuse I’ve ever encountered. The worst part being that my apartment complex is trying to increase my rent by $400 without any repairs or renovations to the unit I live in, which is desperately needs, I’ve attached a picture below for proof. I don’t currently make income outside of UberEats & I cannot afford to pay $1400/mo in rent when I’m currently struggling to pay $1035. But! I have been given an amazing opportunity to start over in a new state with an income-based housing program that will place me & my kitty into a 1 bedroom home! I have until February 20, 2022 to find a job & get approved for this new place to live for $650/mo & I’ve been lucky enough to have a family member offer some financial support to help with the move. Unfortunately, I have a couple obstacles in my way that may prevent me from moving for a new start at life. The first is my rent of $1035 is due by January 5, 2022 & I have to tell my rental company that I won’t be renewing my lease by January 2, 2022. This means I have to have my rent paid by Jan. 5 or I’ll be charged $1400-$1600 for another month’s rent. If I pay for another month’s rent, I can’t move. My second obstacle is saving about $1000 for moving expenses such as a moving truck to put my stuff in & hitch my car to in order to make the 500+ mile trip to my new home state. I need to place a goal of $2000 in order to make rent & get myself & my kitty moved! It’s cheaper for me to move to a completely new state than to try to continue to struggle here—I’d be saving over $1000/mo on rent and that alone will give me room to get a leg up in the world. Please consider donating to help me give myself a second chance at life. I truly believe that starting over will be exactly the step back that I need to get a running start towards a life where I not only survive, but thrive. My test came back positive. I did everything “right” and still got it dropping off furniture I built & stained for my mom. I don’t go out and socialize, I stay home, & all my activities done outside my house are done alone such as boxing & rock climbing. I’m very thankful to be vaccinated & boostered. So far I’ve only had a massive migraine and exhaustion. Urgent Help Needed

New post bc our situation changed drastically.

My roomate and I have been homeless for months now, and we are staying in an extended stay hotel right now. I got a call yesterday that a long dead relative never had their will acted upon, and so I am receiving just enough money to set us up in an apartment. We'll be able to get on rent assistance after and things can improve. However, the check isn't gonna get here for at least a week and may take another to cash.

Our hotel bill is due on the 15th of December though unless I can get it to budge a few days and we are several hundred short. We also need groceries, and I just had to pay for medication. The storage bill is late too. Not to mention the fact that we lost our bed, bedframe, towels, and every other damn home-good in the eviction. So we truly need all the help we can get, but we are now definitely not going to be homeless soon.

We are less than half way there. The bill will total about $1,700 without tax. It started snowing with sleet today. It isn't sticking bit the temps are well below what could kill my disabled self. We need help. Please donate or share if you can. We are not going to make it without help, and we are literally just waiting for the apartment money which guaranteed. Friday, December 31st: Hi everyone I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill woman, who is in desperate need of help as I'm really struggling to get through the New Year.

As most of you are already aware from my previous posts, I have been struggling financially for quite some time due to my welfare benefit being under a review, which is due to my worsening mental health and the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And at the moment, I'm currently struggling to get by, as my application for Disability (PIP) was declined and I don't receive my U.C benefit until the end of January, and all my previous donations have gone to pay off my rent and bills but I still have some outstanding bills to pay and my bank account is overdrawn & I have groceries to get for the New Year.

And absolutely no pressure on anyone, but I have a WISHLIST, with some items I desperately need. There are a few things to help with my insomnia, and one expensive item that is incredibly urgent. I've also added a bunch of gift cards, some between £10 - £50 to help me get by.

If anyone could spare anything to help me get through the New Year, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much as donations.
