This year I want to focus on drawing my art idols over the years. I have wanted to complete this for so long and I am finally getting my butt into gear to complete it!! I always knew from the beginning the first one I wanted to draw was Britney's OC, Kona. Back in 2003, I was inspired every day with the work she created. Kona is like... my blueprint when it comes to character design. The love and thought that Britney put into Kona's design and story set a standard early on in my creative career. My original vixen! I try to draw her as much as I can and she turns out a little differently every single time. Vixena has been my first OC but she has gone through so many changes! And I keep telling myself I need to make a model for her so I can start commissions and art trades with people. This is her for 2021! She goes between anthro and human. I will write up a bio for her at some point, but she is a DJ and her necklace remains the Chaos Striker, a power ring with shards of the emeralds around the edge. She has a winter coat and a summer coat which, listen, I can barely get her normal coat out so I'm going to NEED A MINUTE. She also technically has a raver coat? I was 15, ok? But I do like it a lot so I kept it as part of her lore. Any millenials out there still holding onto their OC's from when they were in high school?

This, as all my drawings nowadays, started out as a sketch and evolved into a piece I am proud of. I wanted to start Ocean's magical girl prompts but I took two days to draw this ;----; I am still considering it an accomplishment! While I would love to complete an illustration every day, I am being gentle with my process and nurturing whatever is happening right now that is making me actually produce finished pieces. This has two versions, with the transformation one being my favorite. It's funny, I have always wanted to create a piece like this when I was younger. I'm so glad I could do this now.
