RYAN | THEO
R: We aren't fighting anymore, right?
"I’m not sure that anyone would be that nice. Unless they are a really nice person."
"It's alright. I've come to terms with my coffee-less fate."
"Self-satisfaction makes it tastes all sweeter, right?"
"I think the appreciation towards someone who got me a cup of coffee makes it that much more delicious."
"I think the coffee would taste better if you got it for yourself."
"I think that that is your opinion."
"I am a simple girl with simple desires."
Sucks to be lazy.
"I'd love a cup of coffee right now. If only I wasn't so lazy."
As she poured herself a glass, Nico kicked up off the couch and did the same, filling it up half way and then clinking his glass against Ryan’s. “Cheers.” He smiled at her and took a mouthful, the liquid burning down his throat, though he didn’t make a face like Ryan did, and choked on the last piece of liquid at her response. “How..cute.” He smirked. “None that are worth it.” He defended Ryan, shaking his head. “What other activities?” He asked, taking another drink.
Grinning, Ryan clicked her glass against Nico's and took another sip, grabbing the bowl she'd filled with potato chips to put it in her lap as she sank down onto the couch, practically laying down on it with her head propped up by the back cushion. She took a chip and ate it, offering him a genuine smile when he replied. Nico was nice. She liked him. "I dunno. We could watch TV. We could play video games. We could talk about the meaning of life. There's a lot we can do."
"Well, let your mum know that she has some pretty badass interior class." Nico looked over at Ryan at the words. "Why would she have a hole in her heart when she has a beautiful daughter?" Nico smiled and put his hand on the top of her head, ruffling it up. "So we’re getting drunk and eating potato chips. Nice." He laughed softly.
"Oh, I'll be sure to let her know," Ryan said with a chuckle, kicking off her shoes before pouring herself a glass of rum, straight up, no ice. Go hard or go home, right? "She's got her reasons, I promise," she mumbled, wrinkling her nose when he mussed up her hair. She glared playfully at him as she combed out her dark locks and put them back into place before sipping from her glass and making a face at the taste. It wasn't as bad as gin, though. "Unless you want to add a couple more activities to that list, yes. Getting drunk and eating potato chips."
"Keep thinking that as you sit here tantruming and I go off; free."
"Honestly, fuck you, Theodore. I'm not a fucking child."
"Owning you and clinging to you are not even in the same realm. You’re a child. A stupid, delusional child. I’m nice to you because I put your mother on her back and fuck her like no one else ever has and in return she lets me stay in your house. You’re just the daughter of some woman that I fuck. We aren’t nothing. You are."
"You don't own me."
"Well, I know you enough to bet that I’m going to pay for it." He sighed, and smiled at her, stepping in to give her half a hug and walked through the threshold, into Ryan’s home. "How come everyone has a nice place except me?" He asked. "Do I need to get a job or something?" He asked and looked around. "So, what are we doing tonight?" Nico found his way to the couch and fell down carelessly onto it. "I was promised junk food."
Ryan rolled her eyes, her smirk growing. "You're fine. Shit happens," she said, amused by his impression of her house. "Don't ask me, I didn't choose it. Mom's the one responsible. She likes extravagance. It almost fills the empty hole in her heart," she said, following Nico's lead and sitting down on the couch. "But, she's not home. So I stole some of her rum. And I probably have every kind of potato chip known to man," she said, gesturing to the coffee table filled with goodies. "Go wild."
At quarter past seven, Nico found himself at Ryan’s door, dressed in his usual attire of black jeans and a white t-shirt. He rapped on the door, waiting patiently for her to open it. “It’s cold outside, Ryan! I’m only fifteen minutes late!”
Ryan had perched herself on the couch with a book once six thirty had rolled around. She always got antsy whenever someone came to the house, since barely anyone had ever been in it, and she figured that the best way to deal with it was to put her mind somewhere else -- in a book. Having lost track of time completely (her goal in the first place), the knocks on the door made her jump slightly, bringing her back to reality. She marked her page and tossed the book aside to hurry to the door to let Nico in. "Late to the thing you scheduled yourself, Emmerson. Pity," she teased, deadpan, a small smirk on her lips. "Come in."
Call || Someone
Nico: I'll see you then.
Ryan: Yes, sir. Adios.
Call || Someone
Nico: Tonight? Seven?
Ryan: Sure. Come to my house. We can eat junk food.
Call || Someone
Nico: Can we hang out soon?
Ryan grinned: Of course. When?
