"Oh, oh, I see. Well, Mr. Devilishly handsomeâŠthe things I have in mind for us to do wonât keep me quiet at all. Annoyed? Iâm sorry, baby. Did I annoy you?â
"It's nothing. Distract me?"
"Hmph, youâre lucky youâre cuteâŠcan we snuggle today? Wait, whatâs got you in one of your moods?â
"I prefer the term devilishly handsome. We can do whatever you'd like as long as it keeps you quiet. I'm not in a mood. I'm just annoyed."
"Maybe, but whatâs it to you. Christ, why are you yelling?"
"Come here and stop your bitching. I'm in no mood."
"Fuck, who made the lights so fucking brightâŠ."
"Maybe if you weren't hungover, it wouldn't feel so bright to you."
   âYou donât own me.â
"Keep thinking that as you sit here tantruming and I go off; free."
Tears glistened in her eyes but she didnât let them fall. Her fingernails dug into his skin, merely to make him uncomfortable. ââYouâre mine,ââ she quoted, a sad smirk on her lips. âSound familiar? âI donât know, youâre just mine.â And youâre calling me clingy? âItâs us. Itâs what we are.â Weâre nothing, Theo. We are nothing.â
"Owning you and clinging to you are not even in the same realm. You're a child. A stupid, delusional child. I'm nice to you because I put your mother on her back and fuck her like no one else ever has and in return she lets me stay in your house. You're just the daughter of some woman that I fuck. We aren't nothing. You are."
She traced the hand mark with her fingertip, enjoying the slight stubble against her soft skin. âI was sixteen when I met you. I hated you. I think I still hate you,â she said, giving his cheek another more gentle smack to accentuate her point. âYeah. I think I still hate you.â
He smirked, though his eyes remained glaring. "I think I hate you more. You're such a little itch. I've done nothing but be nice to you, do things for you, make you comfortable since I have met you. You're so ungrateful and you're fucking clingy. You were like a duckling and now you think you're some swan. You're not."
She ignored his words and instead grabbed his face with one hand to turn it to the side so she could admire the red mark blooming on his porcelain skin, the mark she caused. âIâve wanted to slap you for years,â she murmured.
"You haven't known me for years." He retorted, glaring down at her, but not moving from her touch. "Fuck off. Go back to the playground."
All she could do was slap him.
"Yeah." He ground out, clenching his jaw to distract the sting from her slap. "That's what I thought. Don't project your fucking feelings onto me and get pissed because you're the only girl I don't want to fuck over."
Ryan could see the change in Theoâs eyes. It shouldnât have felt so satisfying, but it was. Finally, she was being heard. Finally. It was Theo, she was comfortable enough around him to curse and to be less than ladylike, but she had never gone this far before. âAre you sure you donât want to do it instead? I mean, youâre so damn set on making sure that youâre the only person that I ever interact with. Donât want to end that streak now, am I right?â
He actually laughed. Geniunely laughed though the sound came out bitter and cruel because the last thought on his mid was sleeping with her. "Are you sure that's not what you want me to do? Because fucking hell Ryan, I wouldn't touch you if someone paid me. There are a lot of low things that I'd be willing to do, but even looking at you the wrong way is not on that list. No one could convince me to ever touch you. You're a child."
Ryan was ready to pull out her phone and send Noel a text about how badly she wanted to share a drink or eight with him when Theo turned around. She kept a straight face, though her eyebrows raised, when he got in her face. It only confirmed her mumbled thought. âYouâre an asshole,â  she hissed, accentuating each syllable. âDid you hear that this time or do I need to repeat myself?â
Theodore's eyes narrowed, though not in anger this time but in hurt. He couldn't hide the withering look on his face, but he quickly covered it up. She didn't deserve the luxury of hurting him. "Go fuck yourself, Ryan. Or maybe you should have your new friend do it for you."
âAssholeâŠâ Ryan murmured as he walked off, probably to go tell on her to her mother who wouldnât give a shit anyway. She probably shouldnât have been such a bitch, but there really was no other way to get it through Theoâs thick skull that she wasnât an object to be collected.
Spinning around Theo glared at the younger woman. His jaw set in anger. "Do you want to repeat that louder?" Theo realised he was right in her face then. "If you have the balls to fucking say something like an adult, why don't you say it to my face and loud enough for me to hear instead of like a kid beneath your breath while I'm walking away."
âYouâve no right to treat me like this, Theo. Absolutely no right. Iâm going to hang out with whomever Iâd like to hang out with and you can either stop fucking my mom and truly be my friend or you can shut up and accept the fact that youâre not the only person I talk to anymore, which is an extremely weird complex to have, by the way. You donât own me. You never have.â
"Fine." He muttered as he pushed past her. A voice in his head told him to go back and stop acting so psychotic, but his pride refused to let that happen and he simply walked away.
âIâm not doing anything wrong! I went out with an acquaintance and that was it!â She wouldnât tell him what else they did â sheâd never hear the end of it. âI donât want to get hurt, but I need to take the risk. How am I supposed to break out of my goddamn shell if I donât take a risk and get out of my comfort zone? I canât just drink tea and talk about books with you for the rest of my life, Ted, I need friends. Itâs time to make friends.â His words took her aback. âYouâre mineâ? What the fuck was that supposed to mean? âDonât, Teddy. Donât say that. You canât say that when youâre with my mom. You just canât. Itâs fucked up.â
Theo stayed quiet because she was right. He had no basis for his interrogation nor his anger. She wasn't doing anything wrong. "Oh don't say it like that, Ryan. You're different from your mother. I'm not having sex with you nd I wouldn't. It's different. You're different."
alaska-wtf:
Alaska smirked, âAh, maybe we doâŠ.maybe we donât?â Alaska raised a brow, closing the space between them, placing her lips softly onto his-but not hard enough for a kiss, just a tease. She pulled away, âMy definition of fun isâŠ.cleaning this upâŠ.in my sexy maid outfit. I mean, if thatâs not fun for you surely, I can think of something else.â Alaska smirked at herself, proud of herself that she knew just which buttons to push to get Theo going.
Theo watched her with piqued interest as the blonde tried to seduce him. Her body heat radiated in a tantilising way; Theo wanted her to burn him. "Alaska that sounds more like a fantasy. Especially with the part of you cleaning." He placed his hands on her hips and brought them closer at the waist, leaning down to pis lips to her neck. "Are you sure this wasn't all just a plot to get me into your room and dress up for me?"
âHow am I supposed to make any if you freak out whenever I leave the house? I do have friends. I have a couple. They arenât really close, but itâs a start. Iâm trying. Fuck you. Yeah? What am I, Theodore? A little sister? Faux stepdaughter? What is it? Enlighten me.â
"I don't care if you have friends. I want you to have friends. I have always told you that you could go out and have friends, but Stars Above not these sorts of friends!" He didn't know why he was so angry, but the lingering thought of a fear to lose her nagged at the back of his mind. If she found other people, she'd leave him and he'd be alone once more. Then what would he do? "Fuck me? Are you serious? You think you're an adult now so you can do and say whatever? Fine. Do it it then, but don't come crying to me when you get hurt. No you're not that. You're just... you're mine. I don't know what it's just mne. It's us. It's what we are."
